Purely potential. He has done well at Dayton, and he is on my list. But he is in the C group.  I think he is just as much of a risk as Alford, if not more. Guys like Marshall and Bennett would have to say no before Archie was hired.

Agree with that. I just don't understand those who put him at the top of their list (behind Stevens and Donovan).

With Crean as coach it might be lower than 4th. Lets see who Illinois hires. 

Monty Williams was their best chance to be back to top 3-5 range. I cant believe they even thought he would listen as Woj has been saying NBA teams have him atop their list this year and Pop wants him to take over the Spurs when he is done. Now it looks like Scott Drew is their top guy. Would not be a bad deal for them. He probably gets some big recruits if he goes there.

Scott Drew would be really successful at illinois. He isnt afraid to get in the muck of recruiting. Which is what it will take to get kids out of Chicago. Self did/does it and was very good at Illinois.

Why lol

I took some shots at Crean a few months back after the IPFW loss. He made an excuse about OG being sick and I told him he was an idiot if he thought we should actually lose even if OG played 0 minutes. I didn't think much of it and went to check on some recruiting news to find I was blocked lol. The article he posted is premium members only. Likely posting just to get some extra money flow. I don't think Crean has told anyone in the program besides maybe Glass his real intentions.
