The only way Dane Fife is coming back to the IU bench is as head coach, probably with Michael Lewis and Tom Coverdale at his side as assistants. And a 30 year solution like that intrigues me.I have NO doubt that, absent a targeted, successful run at Billy Donovan, Dane Fife will be a name that any IUBB search committee considers AND interviews. He is successful because he knows his stuff. Not sure it will translate to the big stage. If I'm going to leave my job I don't just show up to work and not do my job while I'm still there. That's all I get from it, not reading too much in to it.
