The person who posted that is a staunch Crean supporter. Id believe Mile over him every time. Mile is mich more objective.

Ken started backtracking. HH is a mod as well. They are sharing info on the mod board. I never knew HH to have sources. He took over after the original mods came over here. The reason he became a mod is his enthusiasm toward Crean. I am sure Ken heard something and I could guess from who. Like I said earlier his info is from other long tenured posters from Scout that had info back in the day. It's weird they are being completely contradictory though. McCarthy has same access to the mod board and would talk to them some. I think if I were to take my emotions out of it I feel as though Glass puts pressure on himself to bring Crean back at this point. Barring something crazy.

Yep. Just miss the NCAAs so a change is forced. Im now fully on the tank the season bandwagon.

Amen. It's for the long-term good of the program to lose a lot in these final 2 weeks. Crean needs to go this year, or next year will be an extremely toxic environment for all involved (coach, admin, fans, players, etc...)

Yes, HH dislikes me as well for giving factual basis for why I want CTC gone. Guy is delusional in his support for Crean as the long-term solution. I also got a ban from him and didn't post for months

I posted Creans defensive efficiency at IU by year showing he has never had a championship level defense. HH then said those stats were proof Crean has had good enough defenses to win a title. Thats when I realized the guy was just stirring the pot and keeping a conversation going. Or he is related to Crean. Lol

I tend to think Crean returns unless we continue to lose and really nosedive even worse.

OR... Crean knows next year will be equal or worse and decides to move on. (This is hard to imagine. Crean seems like an unrealistic optimist that probably believes his own excuses).

Always remember, the opposite of love is not hate.  It's apathy.  Fans are becoming apathetic.  The reasons are several-fold, but they are.  That;'s not good.

I am surprised at the number of people who think crean returns next year. If glass is serious about his expectations of the program and this season finishes like it looks like it will he needs to go. I have wanted crean gone oe had doubts since cody freshman year but crean has had a reason to stay every year. The buyout, returning star players, or star recruits coming in bringing optimism and hope to the program. Last season should have been it but u cant fire him after winning the big and bringing back og bryant and jbj. Most thought he had a chance to change it around this season or at least hoped. Now we have a full view picture same unorganized crap as always and injury excuse sounds good till you remember we stunk prior and weren't going anywhere anyway. It is now time he dont have a team coming back.

I, unfortunately, believe he will be back unless he leaves on his own. I don't think Glass wants him back but doesn't have a sure thing to bring in. I would prefer Crean is canned and find anyone better but I don't run things. I'm not opposed to bringing in an up and comer to see if it pans out over a 3-5 year stretch.

I'm not sure we get our lifer on the next hire but possibly the hire after that...

Another season of this crap? Gee can't wait

I didnt read it as Ken backtracking at all. He clarified for ppl who wanted more info. Ive had some good pm conversations with some guys over there prior to Ken posting and all he was saying is what was being said behind the scenes over there.

I dont know if HH has sources. Ive had run ins with him in the past and he gave me a temporary ban for saying a joke with no profanity or putting anyone down. Basically, he really just banned me for being anti-Crean and thats when I found btown banners. But overall, i tend to think HH just says whatever to show support Crean and rile up the anti-Crean crowd.

Honestly in places like this it's hard to say. Plus like both you and Weaver noted he isn't looking at this in a subjective way. This is one there is no way to say for sure something is happening with certain. That is why I discredit what he says to a degree. Too many negatives this season on top of uncertainty.

There is absolutely no way Tom Crean is back next year. Fred Glass can't be that big of an idiot. There is no way Glass doesn't hear the negative noise from everywhere. This is what I keep telling myself anyway

I believe he'll be back despite the injuries. I don't see Glass firing him due to a couple things. First the injuries, yes it shouldn't be an excuse we were playing terrible basketball since November. However, losing a top 10 draft pick and James is not easy. I'm not excusing Crean for it but I think Glass might.

Second, I think Crean will get his usual Crean wins coming up here. I imagine we'll probably get a couple wins we shouldn't have @Purdue for example. We'll probably make the tourney and knowing Crean's luck, we'll probably survive the first weekend somehow someway. I can totally see this happening and therefore Crean will buy himself another year.

Only way he leaves is if we continue to go downwards and miss the dance. I'm talking losing our next 4 out of 5 or whatever, getting embarrassed first round of the Big Tourney, and missing the dance. Then just maybe then will Crean "resign". It's hard to see Crean leaving on his own because he's too damn proud of his team filled with Gelon's and Prillers (no offense to these guys) but it's the truth. Again though.. it's hard to see Glass doing this, this year at least.

By April 2018, Crean will no longer be our coach. I can put money on that.

I think the 3rd scenario plays out. I don't see any way this team makes the NCAA tournament. Crean won't resign though because his ego is way too big. But I also believe your 1st scenario could happen as well. This team will miss the tournament but Crean will probably be excused due to injuries to his top players. But all of us know that IU was terrible before all the injuries started. They started 1-3 in conference with everyone except Hartman, who has been out the entire year

Ah yes HH. You say anything negative about Crean and it's like WW III. Guy is delusional with his love for Crean

Yep, Hartmann cant be an excuse. You beat Kansas and UNC without him. Anyone using his injury as an excuse is not in reality.

Im not as down on Glass as some of you guys are. I dont know the man but I know people who do, and they all say he is very smart and knows what he is doing. I respect those ppl who say that, so I tend to think he will support Crean up until the there is a change.

Lastest rumor is on the Rivals national board that there have been positive talks on both sides between Frank Martin and IU. I was a little surprised by that name and looked up his defensive numbers, the guy can coach defense and has shown it over time. Currently the best defense in the country and tied for first in the SEC.

I've said that Glass just can't bring back Crean. I don't think he's dumb by any means. But if he somehow brings back Crean, I will start to question that statement. And Frank Martin can definitely coach basketball. His Kansas State teams were pretty fundamentally sound. And South Carolina? He's doing wonders with that program. Tied for first in the SEC with Kentucky is extraordinary
