So...to get this thread back on track...who thinks that if IU finishes 3rd of better in the BT regular season, Crean will get fired and why?

Personally, in my mind, there is no chance that the administration gets rid of him if that is the case, no matter how poorly they do in the BTT or NCAA.

It would be a good excuse for Glass to keep him. Especially if we are in it until the very last weekend. That is exactly what Glass said he wanted in his rah rah speech.

I personally think we can finish 4th or 5th and Crean will be here next year.

I'm reasonably convinced that if they reported tomorrow that half the team was found snorting crack cocaine off a mirror in the Crean household, with the reflection showing Tom holding a kilo in one hand and a hypodermic syringe in the other, he'd STILL be the coach next season.

Crean will be back next year without a doubt unless we completely nosedive. We won't. I am ok with that. Crean has been a better coach this year. Still needs to improve on much. We are silently having a good/great year only undermined by some pitiful losses. (Wake, Duke, MSU, Penn St.). Wisky loss not bad, UNLV not horrendous.

Some good pieces for next year and an interesting recruiting class. I think he has earned himself next year unless he losses 3 of 4, 1 of 2 in BTT and first round exit in NCAA.

I'm fairly confident he would be unable to fulfill his duties as head coach from prison.

UNLV is actually our worst RPI loss. So it too is horrendous.

I watched them play Air Force the other night. They looked horrible. They do have a couple of injured player that could be returning soon.

The announcers said they may be the only .500 or sub .500 team that is actually favored to win their conference tourney if they get all their pieces back.
