My problem with keeping him is the hanging around in the middle crap.  We don't do well enough to think he is getting better, but he doesn't do bad enough to get fired!  That is not good enough for me and it's not good enough for IU basketball!

Many of us have mentioned that CTC does just enough for Glass to keep him around. I'm dissapointed in CTC's results for his tenure.

Hard to consider a B1G Championship disappointing, but I agree with you as far as that is the team that had the highest expectations. I honestly felt they had a legit chance to go to a Final Four. It stung the worst when they didn't even make Elite Eight.

I would give him an A for that regular season Big Ten Championship. But what about all of the poor Big Ten tournament,
regular season and NCAA tournament performances during his years at IU? Underwhelming!

we were preseason number 1 team in the counrty. I won't sell short winning the big but I give the performance a b minus. It wasn't pretty by any stretch of the imagination.

Preseason #1 has only won the title 14 times, 6 of which were Wooden's UCLA teams. Not necessarily arguing with you, but found that interesting and it shows that preseason rankings can be iffy (even though we were #1 a lot that year).

I was more talking about how we played. I get nobody can get 1 right because tourney is so all over the place. Losing at home to Wisconsin and ohio st on senior night is less than impressive. Crean dropping the ball at Illinois was a disgrace. That was what made it kind of disappointing to me. We just looked bad at times

Yeah no doubt. It was just interesting to see how few teams have held on to #1 throughout the years. 12-13 was still one hell of a fun year as a fan though in my opinion.

We played a great game at MSU on Feb 19th. We peaked at that point. The basketball season ended for us on March 28th. 37 days of average basketball followed that.

After that road win on 2/19 our record was 5 wins 4 losses. Of those 5 wins, 1 was impressive (at Michigan) most of the others were underwhelming (like the win vs Temple).

Our play up to the win at MSU was incredible. That team was one of the best teams I have seen play in recent years. So when we finish that kind of year with very average results you have disappointment.

good point. Definitely at that point. This was a consensus top 15 roster. Three straight years "underperforming". Indiana could/should be a perennial 1-5 seed in NCAA. If we are, we will have success, because that would mean we are good. 8 seeds generally are talented teams that are flaky. Can't and won't win consistently. 2 months to determine which team we actually are. I have my prediction and would like nothing more than to be proven wrong. Third times a charm?

I agree. The 8 seed is also based on current resume. We have the opportunity to get into that 1-4 range with a quality finish.

agree again. We just haven't looked like a 1-4 seed. Got my fingers crossed, starting tonight.

We'd have to win out, and there'd have to be a bunch of upsets to close out conference play. The latter is highly likely though.

That would be a lot of helium and assume that nobody in between us and the top get no big wins. I think UNC and Oklahoma are as close to a lock as you would have at this point. I wouldn't be surprised for Kansas to split with Oklahoma and somehow land on that 1 line. We would no doubt have to win out to overcome that big Duke loss on national tv.
