I don't know how true that is, but if it's true he should be fired on that basis alone.  It would mean he's a blithering idiot at best.

I don't think Donovan was a done deal by any means, but he was interested

I've been thinking the same for awhile....look at who might leave and the subpar class coming in.

i agree, i plan on og bryant and jbj leaving regardless but if green or davis leave that is going to hurt. they both played really well this season. there is a alot of potential in jones too.

I think we are all getting fired up about nothing. I think things are all going well, albeit secretly via Glass. We shall find out soon enough whether to roast the AD. But for now, let's all keep a cool head

BOOO Fire Alaska Hoosier!

Unless of course he works for the Alaskan Brewing Co.  Then befriend him and drink all of his Alaskan Amber.  Who really cares after that?

This soft landing crap is outrageous.  Fire him or you're not doing your job.  I want an AD who wants whats best for IU basketball.  Fred is showing he doesn't give a rats behind.  I will always root for Fred to get canned even if Crean finds another job or he fires him after the NIT.  He should be gone now and Fred is not thinking what's best for IU basketball and it's fans!!!!!

I am willing to forgive Fred Glass AND support him publicly if he does the following.
1.  Thanks Tom Crean for his time at IU
2. Tells Tom Crean that his time at IU is over
3. Gets OG and Bryant to stay
4. Hires either Brad Stevens, Tony Bennett, or Billy Donovan as head coach
5. Convinces Coach Knight to forgive the University and retract his death wish upon those involved in his dismissal
6. Brings Coach Knight and Neil Reed together and helps them to reconcile
7. Gets the NCAA to admit that Ted Valentine screwed Indiana out of a National Title by purposefully fouling out half the team during the 1992 Final Four game vs. Duke.
8. Vows that Indiana will never officially celebrate making it to a Sweet 16.
9. Convinces the NCAA to replay the 1975 Final Four with the original players because Scott May's injury was clearly a UCLA/Purdue joint covert operation trying to diminish Indiana's greatness.
10. Resigns immediately upon the completion of all of these tasks.

Is that too much to ask?

Neil Reed is no longer with us!

Tom crean and Fred glass = Insanity
Insanity = repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!

I always ask this 2 years ago when we missed the tournament we declined the nit bc " this is Indiana " according to Glass!
Now here we are missed the tournament but accepts the nit game!
What happened to "this is Indiana "?
Has his expectations changed?
Does he not care anymore?
P.S. fire tom crean to stay on topic

THIS IS INDIANA!!!!

We declined the CBI which is a pay to play tournament. A step below the NIT.

As long as 1, 2, 4 and 8 happen, I'm good

I think there are bigger worries than who replaces Crean, IF Crean can find a program that actually wants him.  We have a blithering idiot of a coward as an AD that doesn't appear concerned with his most visible program rather he's concerned about his buddy that helped him get the damn job.

As ibe said being elite is not freds goal unless it involves crean. The guy is a liar and a fraud.

and senior night net cutting embarrassment vs OSU. That to me despite all the ups and downs remains the low point in Crean's tenure.

That game was the first time I really felt that sick feeling in my stomach and dropped my head when folks brought up, "Hey, you're an IU fan aren't you? Wth we're they thinking cutting down the nets after that???" and All I could think was, "there is no way in hell Knight would have done that!"

And watching Matta and his players smirk as the game ended? Idk who I wanted to punch in the throat more? Matta or Crean!!!

I could be wrong, and maybe there's a reason, but I don't remember seeing OG on the bench for the conference games.

I've seen him sitting behind the bench.  I read somewhere that he hasn't been given the OK to travel and has only been attending the home games.  Apparently, sitting behind the bench so as to prevent re-injury if a player were to dive for a ball or something.
