Would Iowa State be comparable to IU in recruiting base and facilities, etc.? Just asking because I'm not familiar with Iowa State's ability to bring in the same caliber of recruits.

They are not at the same level as IU with regards to recruiting and tradition, but have similar strength in facilities and they get their fair share of 4 star guys.  The biggest problem that McDermott had there is that he would get good recruits, who would then transfer out after a year or 2.  It was a constant revolving door.  There was a lot of complaint about his system being too structured and not allowing any freedom.  Perhaps it was just that specific situation, but it certainly impacts my thoughts.

If reports are accurate about Crean staying I think this thread will hit 2000 pages.

I dont. I think alot of us will walk away at that point. If he is not getting fired after this train wreck he wont ever get fired.

Two things notable from that Doyel article are 1) Glass claims the coaching staff was involved in making the decision to abstain from hosting a game, and 2) he specifically addressed 'booing'.  I don't know what to make of it, but it would indicate that all involved are well aware of the dissatisfaction with the state of the program as it stands today.

Well at least Hoosier Guy has stopped enabling Glass :)

Haha yeah I finally see the light. He's not handling the basketball situation at all. I thought he was better than this but he's obviously not. The only thing that can make me trust him again is making a big time hire. AKA Billy Donovan

You have to understand that this is how radio/TV/beat writing works. It was almost certainly a condition of the interview that no questions about Crean be asked at this time.

This is a good sign if you want Crean gone next year.

You are probably right, and I'm aware of "conditional" interviews, but didn't Sterling say he didn't ask because he knew what Glass would (wouldn't) say?

OK, thanks. He just seems to be doing well at Creighton. Structure also seems to be one thing the Hoosiers are missing.

I'm with you except I would take JMV with the entire salt shaker. I like the show sometimes, and I do tend to accept his view on a lot of subjects when it comes to the Colts. But not IU. He's as connected as I am.
