Could feasibly have been in the Carolinas w/the BTT in DC. Trip down yesterday, recruit last night and today and I'm guessing he could've had a flight out of Charlotte or one of the other NC cities tonight. Only issue is it cuts into team practice time, which makes such a trip unlikely and unwise. Possible to make in the time frame though? Yeah.

Donovan may be your number one but he makes no realistic sense. Bennett's issue isn't w his sister...IU is good there, no read on the realistic view on the happening. But sister stuff isn't an issue

So impressed with Virginia's toughness. Stating the obvious, but I think Bennett would be an amazing hire here. Fans would love his focus on D and fundamentals. Yeah, his offense may not score a lot but they sure do look for the best shot every possession.

Good one! I was talking to some Purdue fans today and they were sarcastically saying we should keep Crean. I responded we are looking for a GREAT coach and Painter is not on the list. They actually agreed but what was interesting was they were terrified about a potential Billy Donovan hire as they fear he would return IU to greatness. Come on Glass---everyone else can see it. We need you to see it.

I'm so freaking tired of idiots like this. They've held us back for a decade and a half and done nothing but support and enable the bad hires we've had to suffer through. 

 

I talked to a friend today that doesn't go on internet message boards, and had no idea that Crean leaving for Missouri was even a remote possibility. We hadn't talked for a few weeks, and it never occurred to him that Crean could be gone after this season. I told him why it's time to move on and got the usual "can't fire a coach that won 2 big ten titles in 4 years" nonsense. He agreed that IU can and should expect better results, but that Crean needed another year to prove himself. I ended the conversation there. 

 

I think what it boils down to is that a lot of people in this state just aren't very smart and don't like talk of change because it forces them to think.

I think you might be right my friend. All you have to do is pay a little attention to understand Tom Crean is not the answer .

Mizzou AD is supposedly flying to DC to interview Crean. Have heard this more than once, but wasn't posting till I heard it more than once. If you read that article regarding their search it makes sense. I fully expect Crean to be named Missour's head coach probably Monday. No way they wait on his NIT run to come there.

That is me. If you search Tom Crean you see it posted by a Mizzou guy. Went to his profile and seemed moderately legit. Also heard this earlier today. Read the article and then it actually made sense.
