Is Seton Hall really good?

Made the tourney the last 2 years, top 3 scorers returning, on several pre-season top 25 lists, and Eron Gordon ;)

A true road game on top of it makes it just that more difficult.

Ahh yeah that's not promising. I hadn't really paid attention to the dates so I didn't realize the game was so early in the season (the "Gavitt Tipoff Games" title should've clued me in). Hopefully Archie and the guys are ready to be thrown into the fire right away.

Considering how many times I yelled messages of encouragement to Eron over the years of his visiting IU, I feel like I should really be there.

On the other hand, New Jersey.

Same as before...everyone post as the schedule comes out and we'll keep it updated in this first post.

@JonRothstein: Indiana, Providence, Virginia Tech, and Washington will headline the 2017 2K Sports Classic at MSG, sources told @CBSSports. #iubb #pcbb. IU replaced with SLU on 3/4/17.

11/12 vs Howard

11/15 @ Seton Hall (Gavitt Tipoff Games)

11/19 vs South Florida

11/22 vs Arkansas State

11/25 vs Eastern Michigan

11/29 vs Duke (B1G/ACC Challenge)

12/09 vs UofL @ KFC Yum Center

12/16 vs Notre Dame @ Banker's Life Fieldhouse

2/28 - 3/04 B1G Tournament @ Madison Square Garden

Pap sleeping on watch again. Think I have everything all squared away now.

Eastern Michigan? Crean got fired just in time. He'd be sh*tting his pants in the days leading up to that game. They play 2-3 zone and I think their coach is a former Syracuse assistant. They also have a big man that had quite a few high major offers but was passed up because of off-court trouble. That game would have had Eastern Washington/LIU-Brooklyn potential if Crean was still here.

Inside The Hall has the Eastern Michigan listed for the 24th not the 25th.

Here are our home/away opponents in B1G play. We don't play Purdon't twice. Michigan St twice is a toughy.

Why doesn't the B1G have more respect for the IU-Toiletmaker rivalry! We should play twice every year. It's the best basketball rivalry in the conference. The ACC wouldn't ask Duke and UNC to play just once.

Mostly agree except I see us getting swept by Mich St and winning either at Michigan or Nebrasketball

I would love to see the B1G use the same divisions for basketball as they do for football... the league could move to a 19 game schedule - home/away with the other 6 teams in their division (twelve games total) and one game each against the teams in the other division (another 7 games, for a total of 19 league games). The NCAA tournament automatic qualifier is decided by the B1G tournament anyway... but the regular season champ could be decided by a one game playoff or by best overall B1G record... that would eliminate the one game situation against one's biggest rivals, and perhaps create new rivalries within the divisions...

Going to a home/away schedule will all 13 other B1G opponents is just not practical, given the number of marquis match-ups, pre-conference tournaments, B1G-ACC challenge type scenarios... but the divisional setup could really work.

Am I the only one?

That would be interesting. The current divisions would actually be pretty equal in basketball.
