You really gotta read this one. This super clued in On3 guy has IU last in the B1G and among other things writes about the QB battle between Kurtis Rourke and…….

Brendan Sorsby.

Ok, maybe he’s actually more clueless than clued in.

He probably had a super secret, proprietary, On3-exclusive algorithm come up with his rankings.

On3 freakin' blows.

I hope, and think, the guy is wrong.

That being said, aside from 2019 and 2020, when we surprised the nation and pre-season “experts”, there have been many many years in which the cycle has been:

1) posters predict enough wins to squeeze into a bowl game

2) “experts” predict we will win less than 6 games and come in last, or next to last, in the division

3) posters call the “experts” idiots

4) “experts” end up being correct.

I am optimistic that won’t happen this year but we will see.

"It's Indiana. It's Indiana, and that is the bottom line."

That applies to football as much as basketball. Maybe more.

I think that starts to change but I certainly can't blame anyone for having doubts.

Kobee and Darryl Minor to Memphis - leaves the program with 5 '23 scholarship players remaining in the portal (Holloman, Bohler, Jeffries, Jared Casey, and Greenlow.)

I have CCC with 82 scholarships for the Fall w/29 incoming transfers as of 5/22.

Not sure where to put this but my second job just hired Carter Smith as an intern. Not only is he a huge dude but he is super nice also. He looks to be a hard worker and is willing to jump right in at doing anything asked of him. I can't wait to work more with him this summer.

Michigan State 6-foot-5, 255-pound DL Andrew Depaepe expected to head south -- and land in Bloomington.

A top-125 recruit from the Class of 2023, he played all of 11 snaps last season, so took a redshirt. Would have four years remaining.

His brother, William -- also a DL -- will be a true freshman at IU this fall.

That's kind of a big-time get.

Not only because he will be one of the top five ranked players on our roster, but also because he has learned about the culture at IU from his brother, experienced the culture at MSU, and thereafter has chosen to transfer to IU.

Looking forward to the season.  I have high hopes this year, but I have had the same in years past only to be let down.  Hope that is not the case this year.
