I mean we'll probably do something they don't expect them to like win at Wisconsin or something else as ridiculous. I mean Cody's sophomore year we had no business winning at Michigan or MSU, yet they did. Just saying we always do things like this.

I mean I agree I don't expect to win the B1G outright, but we're one game into B1G play

Schedule isnt as kind as last year. 4 out of the last 5 on the road. We needed this one.

On a positive note: I had hoped Rob would start to look for his shot more and he has the last few games. Need less shots from Josh and unfortunately Morgan should be limited to put backs or layups.

Dang even my positive note had two negatives.

True. Which is part of the reason I never expected to win it. Along with stuff like losing Yogi

I think its just kind of nuts, I'm not even a Crean supporter, if anything I still want him gone (I'm in the camp that his ceiling is the Sweet Sixteen and that isn't good enough). But compared to some of the guys that come out of the woodwork on here after games like this I seem like a huge Crean fan. Not you or Brass, you guys are regular posters who I actually like reading their posts, just some of these guys blow me away.

Watch this end up being the season where we have a crappy B1G regular season and make a run. It just can't be smooth sailing under Crean.

As awkward as that was I think using that in your label for him completely distracts from any point you are trying to make. Don't mistake me for a supporter of his, I am not, but you can critique him without this.

Past the Sweet 16. The talent is there but inconsistent. If a leader can emerge we have the pieces. RoJo needs to be that player and leader.

A team that turns the ball over 1/4 of its possessions, has no PG, and has no organization on offense isn't going to string together more than maybe 1-2 wins, against tournament quality teams. We can beat anyone and lose to anyone. That bodes badly in tournament play. My hopes for this team have been completely deflated. We have a ton of talent but lack some vital characteristics that almost all championship teams have.

Agree with what you're saying but even this team could get hot and make shots. If for some reason they could limit turnovers the offense would be that much better.

Has this ever happened though? Looking at our body of work over the last few years, I have zero faith it will improve.

Yawn. Double Hoosier loss, coupled with my Sycamores losing, and the Pacers. Time for bed. Tomorrow is a new day. I blame 2016. Damn deaths and all. It's a cursed year.

Sent from my S7 using the BtownBanners App.

But the Cubs won the World Series in 2016 so it's not all bad!!!

Not likely but not impossible. That's why I've said if a leader emerges. It doesn't seem like Crean cares too much about turnovers. If a player or two steps up and refuses to follow the mold of past teams it could happen. Although Crean might bench him.
