HoosierAloha Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I'm not a huge fan of the RPI but it would be a good one to track as well. BTB member poll, IU poll tracker, prediction league.. all things that make BTB great and educated. Good stuff pap Brass Cannon 1 Quote

Right now it has Northern Illinois as #1 overall :) But I get it, for whatever reason it's still factored into the tourney so it's relevant. ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

Probably better in its own thread to be discussed throughout the year but..Do we believe the committee will ever switch to advanced analytics to choose the field and seeding? Quote

I don't know. The committee chair said in an interview last year each individual can use whichever they want and gave a shout out to kenpom. Whicita st high Ken Pom ranking last year was probably one reason why they got in last year Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
Baltimore Hoosier Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I'll be interested to see what happens in next week's polls assuming IU wins both games this week.. IU beats Kansas, Kansas beats #1 Duke last night. Not to look too far ahead, but that Kansas win could have some major Tournament seeding implications. ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

I think IU jumps at least Oregon in the polls and possibly Duke. Although, ESPN made sure the viewers knew that Oregon was without their best player. Duke, with their squad healthy, is the best team in the country but without I think we're better. Quote

Maybe I already just assume Oregon is perpetually overrated in everything...... don't know maybe I'm just a hater of Oregon athletics? CR3AMnCR1MS0N, ALASKA HOOSIER, HoosierAloha and 1 other 4 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 IU jumped to #3 in CBS poll behind UK and Villanova. The UK love boggles my mind every year. They haven't beaten anybody of real merit yet because frankly that MSU team is very flawed. ALASKA HOOSIER, IUsafety, southsidehoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

Popular Post ccgeneral Posted November 21, 2016 Popular Post Posted November 21, 2016 I know ESPN isn't on the list, but... http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/18101018/indiana-hoosiers-jump-kentucky-wildcats-duke-blue-devils-others Big Blue Nation isn't going to be happy, but the Indiana Hoosiers are more deserving of the top spot. Remember, the preseason power rankings were based on paper. Now, the rankings change dramatically due to on-court results. Indiana's victory in Hawaii over a top-5 Kansas team is far more impressive than Kentucky's easy win over a Michigan State club that lost to Arizona and nearly dropped one at home Sunday night to Florida Gulf Coast. 1. Indiana Hoosiers Record: 3-0 Last week's ranking: 14 The Hoosiers are shooting 44 percent from 3. James Blackmon Jr. is shooting 44 percent from beyond the arc thus far, and he's averaging 23 points and 7.3 boards. Indiana has the neutral-site win against Kansas on its résumé, which is arguably the most impressive win of the early season. LockdownD, Bobman1, HoosierAloha and 12 others 15 Quote
