Reading some of these posts makes my brain feel tired. I can't recall this level of mental gymnastics during the Zeller recruitment. I can't wait for this to end.

Still see him at IU. Only see two advantages of KU. Championship caliber team, and other great players. On the other hand, IU offers the ability to stay close to home. The lure of being an instate legend with an already established personal fanbase. As much PT as he can handle. And most of all, a tough, defensive mined coach that can help with the ONE major flaw in Romeo's game. Experts are saying that defense is his glaring weakness. Still saying he stays home and plays for IU. ROOAAAR! Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile app

I guess it depends on what you mean by cheating. A few extra phone calls? Bumper stickers? Sure, I'd look the other way. But strippers and cash payments to players? No way. I'd rather do things the right way and have no title.

Not true-in my opinion nothing has changed: those two guys were always very likely to have been gone from KU at the end of the season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

This! I fully expected Kansas talk to pick up this week simply because their season is over and two guys declared. But, the Kansas talk is actually based on zero real information from the Langford camp. It’s based on nothing but guesses and feeling. Not saying Kansas is or isn’t the pick, but any perceived momentum or even crystal ball picks this week aren’t based on any actual information from the people making the decision.

After being around one of them for a few years, and the other not caring for me I think I would rather have a sharp fork in the eye then listen to them talk about anything.

South Dakota's Matt Mooney has had Arizona State, Oregon, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Missouri, Northwestern, Memphis, TCU, Creighton, Nebraska, Indiana, Virginia and Arizona reach out to him as a potential grad transfer. 18.7 PPG this past season. I'm not saying there would be an article with quotes from the Langfords. That's kind of my whole point, this recruitment has been so close to the vest and even the people closest to Langford have said they have no idea, so I doubt this Kansas reporter does either. He's making a guess. If he had sourced info from the Kansas staff he would most certainly write an article saying "sources close the recruitment tell me Langford was waiting to see if Newman and Vick were going pro, and now is heavily leaning toward Kansas." That article would drive a TON of clicks, which is basically what his job is to do. Once again, I'm not saying whether Newman/Vick impacts Langford or not, we have no idea, just saying we shouldn't get all worked up over a few crystal ball picks going that way this week. My posts on this topic are more to the "darn, looks like Kansas has all the momentum" crowd.

If the decision to go to Kansas hinged on whether or not they could find a scholarship for him, then yes, it's a senseless discussion; they'd pull one out of the NCAA's arse if they had to. But because it's likely heavily based on the division of playing time, everyone can assume this clarifies things for Romeo as his decision looms. Everyone can also assume this is nothing but positive for Kansas. My point earlier is that some media sources and 90% of fans are presenting the situation as if the Langfords hadn't already evaluated this decision with the scenario of ample playing time at Kansas in mind. I think we can all agree they've done just that. It's not a shocking new development to Romeo that flips this situation on it's ear. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Nonsense arguement.... scholarship would have been found for RL at KU even if these two didn't leave. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using BtownBanners mobile app

Absolutely, what we’re saying isn’t much different. Newman and Vick going pro might help Kansas, or it might not. We don’t know. I’m just saying a Kansas writer doesn’t either, and switching his crystal ball is no real indicator of anything.

But it’s not based on any actual information from the Langford’s. Nobody knows what impact that has on their decision making process. So something like changing a crystal ball because Newman and Vick went pro is a guess, not a change based on information from the recruit or anyone in his camp. Pits not from a reporter with sources saying he was told this was something Langford was waiting on, it’s a guess.

South Dakota graduate transfer Matt Mooney (18.7 PPG) will host Bobby Hurley & an assistant from Iowa State today. Creighton & possibly Memphis will be in tomorrow. Indiana, Texas Tech & Northwestern are expected in on Sunday. -Evan Daniels

Things aren’t always a guess. It’s possible to have sourced information. There’s nothing sourced, the KU guys didn’t change his pick because he’s heard that it is influencing Langford, he changed his pick because he’s taking a guess that it might. It’s not based on anything known about the Langford’s decision making process.
