mdn82 Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 I had to take a day to process that loss and still wish even with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs we bunt with Javy. Done it all year and he has struggled. Once he chased that 2nd pitch it was academic. Have to win tonight. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app WayneFleekHoosier and ccgeneral 2 Quote

HoosierTrav Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 John Lackey doing his best to lose or get no decisions for the entire playoffs. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Going to have to get good play from bullpen tonight I'm guessing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

TheWatShot Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Sorry to say, I think the Cubs may have met their match. Cleveland is just so remarkably balanced; there are so many different ways they can win games. As a Tigers fan, I'm not looking forward to constantly hearing about how the last two champions are from our division and how they've achieved so much more while spending a fraction of what we do. mdn82 Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Our bats are costing us in this series. Wish Schwarber could play left and slide Zobrist into 2nd. Too many players trying to be the hero and not make the right play.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app pappy1865 and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Cold bats have been a problem all season. I know that sounds crazy with a record THAT great but it seems that the whole team goes cold for stretches. Just plain getting beat this series. I Don't think they can comeback but I'll give them a punchers chance. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote

TheWatShot Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I could see the Cubs winning tomorrow, and maybe even Tuesday. Problem is, even if that happens, Kluber will be waiting in Game 7. I really feel for Cubs fans, but I had a feeling this was going to happen when people were acting like the curse had already been broken. It's tough to see your team fail in the World Series. I've seen it twice, and there's honestly no worse feeling. You've watched for more than half a year, and when your team just slowly unravels at this stage, it sucks. You really can't count on next year, or any year, because there's no bigger playoff crapshoot than baseball. Quote
