Just seems odd to me. They've had several big busts with bigs but keep getting them. IU has had 3 top 20 bigs under Crean and two have gone lottery with the third looking like a first rounder.

at this point my best odds of hoping or dreaming is that 1 of OG/TB returns next season. 

That would go a long way in helping our roster next year. 

Can't count on a recruit to adequately fill that role next season.

Kansas wins always and is in the national spotlight

Elite guys don't care as much about player development and what other elite guys did. They (or their people) are fully confident as themselves as a player. College is a 9 month commitment.

 

 

Who they'll target?Tucker. Diallo and a bunch of guys I don't know they're on right now. Hard to guess which way Crean will turn come Jan/Feb but did hear they're looking for Tucker to visit later in the season

Jordan Tucker is a high 4 star kid we all know is a good talent. He's ours to lose with U of L and Cuse picking up other wing commits. I think Cuse still has a shot & Maryland worries me as well, but if we grab him with the way ALL of our guards look this season, I have a good feeling that guards & wings won't be a worry come next season. DD & Juwan will be huge as well. If Moore can give us 10 MPG & Hartman comes back to play the 4, I like our team as kind of like Maryland this year. Chance to be really good, but also have a high floor as a worse case top 6 finish in B1G. With the development in our program though we could see Morgan, DD, CuJo, RoJo & Newkirk as well as Green taking big leaps. Getting some weight on Moore & getting Smith stronger will help. Durham reminds me of a better Stan Robinson. We will be fine. We can't afford another okay class next year though if we wanna stay atop the B1G.

I am sure that doesn't look pretty now, but I agree. This is a loaded draft class. If either player falls out of the 1st round due to the re-emergence of JBJ we will just have to see.

Bryant coming back would be huge but I just don't see it happening.  OG would be definitely be a welcomed returner but not the same need as TB.  There is nothing behind Davis at the 5 should he get in foul trouble or need a breather.  Do we go small with JMo at the 5?  Does Smith take one for the team and try to defend the 5?  Moore has made it known he wants nothing to do with the 5.  Even if we get 30 minutes out of Davis at the 5 we have 10 that goes unaccounted for without an additional big.  Scary thought.
