Crimson and Cream Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Hope Feeney is alright, our line looked awful without him Quote
akhosrof Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Take away the blocked punt and this was an excellent game. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

Gahoosierfan Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I am very disappointed. There were a lot of negatives. Wilson got way too conservative on offense after going up 30-0. Gideon showed no urgency in getting punts off. Lagow has a long way to go. He is not a B10 QB at this point. Offensive play calling is pretty bad at times. I wasn't concerned about Wake before but I am now. I am down right afraid of what happens when MSU comes to town. Gahoosierfan 1 Quote
johnsoniu Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Defense was solid. Can't get pressure on the qb with four, but Allen is pretty creative at disguising his blitzes. He'll need to be or that will become problematic in conference play. Need to hear the injury reports on Simmie and Feeney before I freak about the offense. I really think Simmie's presence would help Lagow immensely. All in all, we didn't look dominating except for a couple brief stretches and still were in total control and won comfortably. I'll take that. 2 down, 13 to go Go Hoosiers! HoosierAloha, KingPG21 and Dalton26 3 Quote
johnsoniu Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Looks like Cobbs needs surgery. #$@!& Feeney has a consussion. Hopefully the early bye week will help out with that. McCarthy reporting this, can't link because I'm too lazy. Josh 1 Quote
akhosrof Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Cobbs is a huge loss but we have lots of depth. We'll survive. Need to get Ricky Jones involved in the offense! Maybe Camion Patrick moves back to WR?Hopefully Feeney returns after the bye. Quote
Dalton26 Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Camion was dressed and warming up today but supposedly Wilson is trying to get him in around the start of B1G play. Quote
Dalton26 Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Too lazy to look it up but has Cobb used his redshirt? Quote

mdn82 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 “Simmie has an ankle injury that’s probably gonna require surgery. If that is what it is, we’ll see the timeline,” Wilson said. “He played one play. Just rolled it up. A little bubble pass and when the guy went to make the tackle (Cobbs suffered the injury). That’s what it looked like when I saw it on TV.”Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

I wasn't concerned about Wake before but I am now. I am down right afraid of what happens when MSU comes to town.Don't agree with Lagow comment at all. It's his second game he is 5tds with no INTs. 240 and 266 yds respectively. His line didn't help in the second half. The play calls didn't help either. He was in way to many 3rd and longs. I don't think QBs can do tact how far a runner goes and I don't think he can just go out and call his own plays. I'm not scared for wake forest one bit. This is the best the Hoosier D has played in a long time. They have given up 2tds in 2 freaking games. They have had 7 takeaways in two games? I'm not sure why you're so scared. Yeah we blew a 30 point lead... But I think positives overshadow the blown lead, sacks, and whatever you're afraid of. To speak on those positives..... Cobbs out for two games basically and possibly season.... Westbrook steps up...check. When redding stalls we have 3 RBs ready to help get tempo going. Then redding reaches his 5th straight game of 100yds. Check. Lagow is 65% completion again 5tds 0ints, he shows command on the field and besides some errant throws and scrambling he knows the offense and looks confident. So I'll take that as a check mark as well. Dalton26, Bobman1, akhosrof and 3 others 6 Quote
Dalton26 Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 ^ couldn't agree more. Do we have some things to work on? Absolutely, but I haven't been this excited about an IU team in a long time. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Plus the defense is giving up 13 pts/game... The competition hasn't been the best but still 13 points.per.game Dalton26 1 Quote
