I don't think so.  They were eliminated Saturday by not winning, but at the time Irsay said it, they still had a fighting chance to get in.  Hell, still had a chance to win the division, however long the odds were.

Gotcha. I thought they were eliminated the previous week by tiebreakers of division w/l.

So I've brought this up before, but why are we fighting for wins late in the year, these last two years. Luck is playing Sunday..... why? Seriously why?

And the argument that its gonna create a losing culture doesn't make sense. At this point we're creating a culture that mediocrity is okay. This roster sucks outside of a few guys, the coaching staff sucks, and the front office sucks. We were never going to compete to win the Super Bowl, and at a certain point it was evident we'd struggle to even be talked about being a playoff team, even though we play in a horrible division. The ultimate goal is to win it all, changes need to happen, and we need better talent. The best place to get good young talent is the draft

Because I don't trust Grigson/Irsay to capitalize on a pick no matter where it is in the draft.

You play to win the game. Luck is a competitor. I'd be demanding to play too. There's pride on the line.

Either way we suck tho

FIRE HIM! This is embarrassing

Pagano needs anything he can get to make his case for another year.

Fair enough. Can't really hate a guy who hates losing and hates not competing. I think I'm just really sick of our front office and coaching staff, big shock I know not like I've been extremely vocal about it

Why are the Colts even trying to win this game? I know the regime is different, but it pisses me off to see them trying so hard to win a game like this when we once quit on a perfect season.
