Basketball can be a lot of standing around too, especially if the refs are whistle happy. And waaaay too many time outs at the ends of games. The last 2 minutes lasts about 15. I still love it though. If you want non stop action hockey can't be beat Quote

If you watch certain teams (whatever team LeBron is on at the time, or whatever team Floppy Butler is on at the time) then yah its a bunch of standing around. Not even just the top teams, the Pacers have been at best mid the last 2 years and at least with Ty they were tons of fun to watch. But the NFL... if the Colts (the team I support), or the Chiefs (cause Mahomes is that entertaining) aren't on I can't. Quote

TheWatShot Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 3 plays, no yards and a punt. Looks like a pretty typical Colts start. Quote
Josh Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Shane Steichen's decision making was awful. Dion Jackson was atrocious. Dion Jackson was garbage. Dion Jackson was atrocious garbage Anthony Richardson was....above average. He's got to work on accuracy. 10 straight years of opening day losses. Ugh. theriverpilot and thebigweave 2 Quote

Horrible play calling and went for it on 4th too much. It’s ok to kick a FG and should’ve kicked one earlier in the game. Would’ve been trying for a tie at the end if he had instead of down 10. His poor decisions really handcuffed a young team Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Josh 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 The failed 4th and 1 in the red zone was a huge gut punch after the defense had come up with a big takeaway. It's like we fired Frank Reich and replaced him with...Frank Reich. theriverpilot and thebigweave 2 Quote
KingPG21 Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Richardson was better than I expected Pittman looked good. Pierce sure does exist out there on the field. I like our tight ends Pretty horrible first game for the O-line Defense was overall decent Deon Jackson. Lol, bruh, lol. This is what happens when a mid tier practice squad player is your starting RB Steichen. Bleh, not impressed theriverpilot and thebigweave 2 Quote

No push for running game but I'm not sure if that wasn't half on Deon Jackson.......who was awful.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk Quote

Looked like he was only reading half the field since everything was going right. But, I don’t want to hear anymore from people about RB’s being fungible. The difference between Taylor and Jackson is the difference between shooting a bullet and throwing it. Quote

Clock management under 2 minutes at the end of the game was poor. Going for it earlier in the game on 4th from the red zone was a bad call. Burning a time out in the 3rd quarter due to miscommunication was poor. I'm not out on him by any means, but there is certainly room for improvement overall Quote

He was pretty handicapped with the worst running back in the league, and 1.5 competent wide outs. The 4th down decisions were just interesting, I guess? Lol, I remember all the stuff last year when Hines requested a trade and I got told Jackson was "a better fit". Rofl, he is in the pantheon of horrible players to put on a Colts uniform. Its not even like yesterday was that big an outlier. He has zero vision as a runner. He is very far from a NFL caluber athlete, he is slow, has little quickness, no explosiveness whatsoever, and pretty sure he couldn't overpower corners. The difference between him and Hines catching the ball out of the back field is night and day. Its hilarious that he was our RB1 yesterday. Funk and are practice squad players too. They've screwed up this RB situation at an insane level. Quote

Josh Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Good game by Steichen and the Colts today. Coach is vastly improved since game 1. Great game from Zach Moss too I would have been pissed if the Ravens made that last second field goal. The refs gifted Baltimore about 10 seconds after Jackson got sacked with 14 seconds left. The clock stopped because Jackson threw the ball out of bounds well after his knee hit the ground. So the refs reviewed it forever, added 4 seconds to the clock, allowed the Ravens to regroup, set themselves, and snap it as soon as the clock started again. Lamar Jackson throwing the ball out of bounds after getting sacked allowed one hell of an advantage for the Ravens. The NFL needs to clean that up. thebigweave and CSP 1 1 Quote

Should be a 10 second run off at minimum there. Would've taken close to that for them to get reset after sack. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk Quote
