All 7 players were either drafted by Ballard, traded for by him, or acquired as a free agent by him. That's phenomenal. Its flawed. He has mostly ignored the wide out position. Same goes for the defensive secondary to an extent as well. And I don't even know if its worth getting into QB stuff with him anymore. Plus putting as much emphasis on the interior of the lines is questionable I think his scouting team is great at identifying talent. He just seems to not put it un all the right places. Quote

Plus putting as much emphasis on the interior of the lines is questionable I think his scouting team is great at identifying talent. He just seems to not put it un all the right places. He has hit with some positions but not so much on the game breakers. Leonard is one but we don’t get sacks and our corners and safeties aren’t consistent. Nelson is great but for a coach reluctant to be a run heavy team Nelson is like having awesome back seats in your Jeep. Have loved Buckner but his comments about playing vs Jax were not what a leader says. He has been solid in the middle but as our best lineman it did not translate into enough pressure on opposing QBs. Then he has been carrying this huge amount of unused salary cap space his entire time. With his seat getting warm I suggest he spend some of that for some fixes. I prefer him over Grigson by far and think teams under Grigs won despite who he brought to the team. But Ballard needs to find an answer at LT, DE, WR and QB. Not an easy shopping list. KingPG21 Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 Crazy to think before that national championship year ar LSU that Burrow wasn't even on the NFL radar. Also Chase is proof wide out talent is a big deal. Wish Ballard saw it that way. HoosierTrav 1 Quote

I was also thinking how crazy it was being at the Ohio State vs Indiana game in 2017 and Burrow being the 3rd string QB on that OSU team. KingPG21 1 Quote

Josh Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Titans blew a 1 seed, Brady choked out of the playoffs. I love this. I honestly don't care who wins it all now. Which team left has the most Hoosiers? Quote
