I know it's only the first game but liked how the defense played for the most part.

1-0 is all that matters though!

Love it. Very happy overall. Defense looks improved. Offense has some room to grow but overall happy for the first game.

So, the TL;DW is the first half is sad, Oakes is a mess, Lagow's neck is nuts, this offense can be scary if they gel, this defense already is scary, and it's going to be a fun year!

Great job, happy to get the win. Loved the D, offense still leaves a lot to be desired but a win is a win!

Sluggish start, solid road win. Room for improvement. Lots to like from the D. That makes me smile.

22-0 in the 4th quarter. Along with Allen, I think the strength/conditioning team need credit. IU stayed strong while FIU went down for cramping every 5-6 plays(some I think were BS).

The defense had more tackles than the other team had points. It's a new era of Indiana football.

Loved how the defense pressured the QB in multiple ways tonight. It appeared that FIU missed some wide open WRs tonight, but it was a result of an early, hurried throw. Lagow looked solid. He will learn that his arm can, but shouldn't, make every throw in FBS football. The running back corps looks terrific, as advertised. Passing game did quite fine without Cobbs too. The offense should gel and become a force again. Can't brag enough on Marcelino Ball, kid is a star in the making. 4th quarter really eased my mind....until next week.

I was watching it in a bar and couldn't hear anything. Did something happen with Lagow's neck or is this a shoutout to his neck?

I was thrilled to see Indiana play 4 quarters and end the game by far the better team.  I was a little disappointed with play calling and some of the personnel decisions in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, but at the end of the day, the players who needed to be difference makers late were difference makers.

Thought the pass interference call on Fant was ridiculous.  If a kid can't do that, defense has no chance.    

Nice win and nice start.    Lagow is a great find.  That Diamont even had a chance tells me one of two things :  1)  Diamont really got better or 2) Anyone who said there was really a competition is full of crap.

When we get everyone back from suspension, we're going to be a tough out.    Really like the addition of Coach Allen.

Defense looked great, even our D-Line, who had major questions about their depth, looked great minus Ralph Green arguably our top D-Linemen.

Yeah I especially didn't appreciate that call. That and the recovered fumble they called back were 2 horrendous calls.
