This SEC bias crap gets old. Nothing is biased towards that conference

Agreed. They’ve got good coaches, a hotbed of recruiting in which they keep a lot of players home, and are damn fun to watch. While I hate the ‘SEC’ cheer, I enjoy watching Bama, Georgia, LSU, and a majority of the other SEC schools. Fun football to watch

Nick Bosa will withdraw from Ohio State and focus on rehabbing and getting ready for the NFL Draft.  He'd been the best defensive player in college football before his ab injury.  Should be a Top 5 pick.  Big blow for Buckeyes' national title hopes.

Good move for him.

FWIW from Dustin Schutte on saturdaytradition.com

Ever since the scandal involving Ohio State ex-assistant coach Zach Smith broke, college football analyst Paul Finebaum has believed that Urban Meyer has planned his exit strategy.

The SEC Network host hasn’t wavered from that opinion. In fact, he recently doubled-down on his prediction, saying that Meyer appears to be headed out the door in Columbus.

Wednesday, Finebaum joined ESPN’s Get Up! to talk about Meyer’s future with the Buckeyes.

“I sense (his time) is coming to an end at Ohio State,” Finebaum said. “This is observational. I’m watching him. Don’t forget the month of August, one of his worst months ever. I still feel like it’s a bad marriage. We’re hearing him talk about his health. Most coaches don’t talk about their health unless it’s a very serious situation. I think this is a precursor to him walking away at the end of the season much like he did six or seven years ago at the University of Florida.

“The signs are there.”

Two weeks ago in a game against Indiana, Meyer was caught kneeling on the sideline after suffering an intense headache. He later told reporters that he was given some medicine and said he is “fine.”

Meyer has pledged his love for Ohio State repeatedly throughout this season. But Finebaum has been harping on the idea that the head coach could leave after this season since August.

He did leave Florida in similar fashion after the 2010 season. Could we see the same in 2018?

Then the question is....where does he land in 1-2 yrs when he 'feels better'?  It's bound to happen.  Health-wise, I wish him the best...doesn't change my mind about him being a big ****** however.

He'll still be there next year and they'll win 11 or 12 games like they always do.

I feel like anytime an article of this nature comes up, it's nothing but hot air and nothing changes. For the last four years, there have been countless rumors about Calipari taking an NBA job, but four years later, he's still there. Just like all the articles about how the end is nigh for the Patriots, Belichick is getting fed up, etc., but they just keep marching on.

And just how exactly is Meyer and OSU a "bad marriage?" All he's done is win like 90% of his games and beat Michigan every year. It just reads like someone who hates his guts and wants him gone (which I wholeheartedly agree with him on that front).

If you honestly don't think Bama is a great football team this year, maybe try watching them. Also the argument that they haven't played anyone isn't true they beat the snot out of Texas A&M. Just because you demolish every team you play doesn't mean you haven't played anyone good

I didn’t realize the full depth of my loathing for Urban Meyer until now. I find myself actively rooting for PU. Never happened before. Now I really hate him for provoking that reaction.

My son and I talked about this at dinner. He asked me who I’m rooting for before he knows how much I dislike both. I don’t really have an answer. There are distinct pros and cons for both results. I think my dislike for Purdue football fans here in Fort Wayne has me pulling for OSU but besides that i want OSU to fall flat.

Tough.

In theory, I would have said rooting for PU would be impossible. But watching Meyer this summer with that nauseating combination of smugness and projected  sense of victimhood put him on a level that I thought was reserved for Alford alone. No longer.

I thought this was illegal but apparently Purdue locks their entrance gates so that half of the crowd cannot leave at halftime. I proudly back the freedom to leave early at IU that  allows 50-70% of the fans to leave at the half.

Purdue is just flat out beating OSU. I wasn't impressed by their defense against us and Purdue is exposing them. The BIG doesn't have a playoff worthy team.
