The big question for me is what his next step is. If they go bowling this year, right or wrong, he'll have a ton of hype and I think would get another P4 gig if he leaves. Maybe another 4-win season keeps him around, but he isn't exactly setting the world on fire with his recruiting, especially of high school kids. It could get ugly (or uglier) in a hurry. He’s a Shedeur hamstring pull away from a very challenging situation. Demo 1 Quote

Does anyone believe his routine is sustainable? I predict he's got 2, maybe 3 more season at CU before he's gone. I'm not a big fan of him but he does produce results. His entire football resume from player to coach is just filled with results. He's 31-14 as a coach right now. Who knows how many wins Colorado gets this year but I think it's fair to say the coach will do everything he can to produce results. They made some changes up front that needed to happen along with bringing in some coaches that might change some things for them. Again, not a big fan of him. Quote

It's pretty challenging as is, but Shedeur going down would be big bad. That QB room is not deep and they're going to have to show some proof of these revamped trenches. Demo 1 Quote

Assuming this year isn't a disaster, everything to me screams Cowboys HC next year. Jones would love the show. Dak's in the last year of his deal and Prime's already said he's gonna dictate where his kid lands. Unless McCarthy makes the NFCCG I think he's done. Quote

Hoosierfan2017 Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Coaching a team his kids/Hunter don’t play on would probably be his best bet because there’s no way the blatant favoritism doesn’t cause riffs in the locker room. Then again Shedeur and Hunter are pretty good so who knows if Deion would have any success coaching a team without them. Quote

He's excelled at bringing in talent and attention to a college program but doesn't strike me as a guy whose forte as game management. With the transfer portal he was able to sell players and get a huge upgrade in talent....and they went 1-8 in a Pac 12 that was really down. Quote

I've seen him mocked as the third quarterback taken next year and IMO that's generous. He's really not all that mobile and the system he's been in under Deion has always been one predicated on quick short throws. At Jackson State where you would expect a sure fire NFL quarterback to absolute destroy the competition, he was a guy that in two years was at 8.1 and 7.6 yards per pass. At a college level low major, that's really nothing special. go iu bb and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote

The family of a 5-star ‘26 QB committed to Tennessee is suing in North Carolina because apparently it’s 1 of 11 states in the country that doesn’t allow HS kids to profit from NIL without forfeiting eligibility. My favorite part is that it only applies to public school kids. Private school kids? Profit your a$$es off. Dave from Dayton 1 Quote
