HoosierAloha Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 So if the receiver also dips his head it's a targeting call and the defensive player is ejected? I don't like that call. The defender wouldn't have been anywhere near hitting helmet to helmet if the receiver doesn't drop his head too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Josh 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 I've never seen a team who runs the triple option fumble the ball nearly as much as Georgia Tech Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Alabama already had the best overall team in the nation. Now they also have a QB who can play some ball. It’s over. 6th national championship in 10 years Quote
KingPG21 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 So the B1G hasn't been great, but the ACC is straight garbage outside of CLemson Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 It wasn’t PI on Stanford. And the way Oregon choked, they didn’t deserve to get the benefit of the doubt anyway. Great teams find ways to win. Props to Stanford Quote

That is the perfect game really to just completely annihilate a team. Rutgers so far this season has given up 52 to Ohio State, 55 to Kansas and 42 to Buffalo. They haven’t scored more than two TD’sthey scores 14 points against Kansas) outside their game against Texas Southern. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners I agree but as far as yesterday eve.... 323SGrant Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 For me, I don’t mind Nebraska being down. They came to IU once and ‘poured it on’ IU with no mercy. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Iugradman and LockdownD 2 Quote
LockdownD Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 In my opinion, Nebraska should be glad they play in the west division. Beat downs like they just got could happen with greater frequency. On the bright side, maybe they can get a win this coming weekend when they host Purdue. I'll be pulling for them. VPC, Iugradman and 323SGrant 3 Quote

Rutgers is due for a big game and IU teams of the past generally bow down to inferior opponents. However, as I will be on hand for the game, I pray this doesn't occur. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Clemson football QB Kelly Bryant says he will transfer Kelly Bryant started the past 18 games for Clemson. He will start his next game for another school. On Sunday, coach Dabo Swinney informed Bryant that he was no longer the starting quarterback. On Tuesday, Bryant informed Swinney that he will transfer. Under new NCAA redshirt guidelines, by leaving Clemson now, Bryant can salvage his final year of eligibility. He has not decided where he will spend it. Full story: https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/sports/college/clemson/2018/09/26/clemson-football-kelly-bryant-transfer/1427832002/ Quote

Watch Clemson with Bryant vs Clemson with Lawrence running the offense. There was zero chance they win the national title with Bryant. Not saying they have a great chance with Lawrence, but going forward past just this year it was the right decision. Quote

Especially since they don't even have to win their division/conference anymore. Even if Georgia or LSU manages to upset the Tide in the regular season or conference championship, they will get rewarded with having to play them again in the playoff. Barring an unimaginable melt-down Bama is going to be in the playoff. They have a golden ticket to get in because "everyone knows" they are one of the best 4 teams regardless of on-field results. It's happened at least 2x I can think of in the last several years. Alabama got in last year the way Ohio State did two years ago. The committee was consistent with that approach for both years. I still like the playoff much more than the BCS Quote

Trevor Lawrence is the real deal. Swinney made the right choice. With how Alabama is with Tua, Clemson had to match it. Lawrence is much closer to Tua than is Bryant KingPG21 1 Quote

It does diminish the regular season and even Conf championships if losing doesn't mean anything. I like the playoff at four teams, but fully expect it to expand (ruining it) because everyone deserves a chance. The difference though is that when Ohio State wrongfully got in, they got demolished. Alabama showed they belonged Quote
