Can’t imagine that’s much more than an alumni courtesy call at this point.

Yeah feels unlikely, especially given that Morris and (to a lesser extent) Golesh are hot names right now. But would either of those guys take Arkansas? Seems like Morris especially could do better.

Yeah I’m pretty low on Arkansas as a job. That seems like it has Silverfield written all over it, then he gets fired in 3-4 and they’re back to the drawing board.

Agree, Arkansas is low on the job tier list this offseason. Memphis fans would be happy to unload Silverfield at this point. If I'm Arkansas I would rather roll the dice on Wommack, at least that gives some aspect of hope.

The coaching carousel will be exciting (as long as it doesn't touch our coordinators).

Uh-oh. I didn't realize Oregon and Ole Miss flip-flopped in the AP rankings.

The Rebels didn't play yesterday -- and lost their spot. We didn't play yesterday -- and kept our spot.

Lane Kiffin and Paul Fartbaum are not gonna be happy!

Yeah, but they have to be pleased with 3 loss Texas giving up 37 at home to a 2-8 team with no HC and moving up a spot. That’s the SEC home cookin’ they’re accustomed to!

Yeah, but even so, 16 > 12, so Texas is outside, looking in.

I can’t see us keeping Haines. I’d love to be wrong, but somebody’s gotta see the vision right? Then that really becomes a disaster if we somehow were to lose Haines AND Kuntz. Or a guy like Bostad. I have no reason to believe those position coaches are looking to move for something other than a clear promotion, but this is such a high quality staff anyone leaving will hurt.

Does Haines want to leave though?  Does he want the HC role

Been trying to figure out all year why Haines isn’t the hot coordinator HC candidate this cycle other than still fighting brand bias. I mean, the 41yo DC of the undefeated #2 team who’s been kicking everyone’s a$$ all year were he  doing so at, say, Michigan would be up for a really good gig this cycle.

We thought the same thing last season. Losing Tino for Whitmer doesn't seem to have missed a beat.

Buy, yeah, don't relish the though of losing a coordinator (Haines of Shannahan) or other position coach (Bostad, Kuntz or the others).

I would imagine he is the hot candidate; it’s just that it’s not being publicized. Haines to Arky would be an excellent fit.

Hope that’s true. Not saying he’s them, but if Smart’s1st gig can be UGA and Bob Stoops could be OU Haines has no business having to start at, ya know, a Ball State. Dude’s earned better.

That job stinks and would be a pretty massive jump. I’ve been saying for months that if Haines goes, he gets a high quality 2nd wave job. Tulane when Sumrall goes, JMU if Chesney goes, etc.

Remember how piping hot Kane Wommack was when he took off and he got South Alabama.
