Stromboli Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Yogi is playing well. He is showing he belongs in the league. As good as he was for us, he's even better now. WayneFleekHoosier, IUBBFan1970 and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 18, 2018 Author Posted March 18, 2018 A double double for Yogi despite a Mavs loss to the Nets. He had 12 pts. and 12 assists to go along with 5 reb. Wasn't the best of shooting nights though as he was just 5-16 from the field. HoosierAloha and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote
HinnyHoosier Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Because it's one of my favorite pictures of Yogi. Also because it's weird seeing his mom on here for so long now. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app BtownBanner6, ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 26, 2018 Author Posted June 26, 2018 Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account @wojespn Dallas has tendered a qualifying offer to guard Yogi Ferrell and he'll become a restricted free agent on July 1, league source tells ESPN. Restricted free agent. ... For any other player to be a restricted free agent, he must be at most a three-year NBA veteran, and his team must have made a Qualifying Offer for either 125% of his previous season's salary or the minimum salary plus $200,000, whichever offer is higher. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 7, 2018 Author Posted July 7, 2018 Tim MacMahonVerified account @espn_macmahon Mavs expect guard Yogi Ferrell to play for $2.9M qualifying offer this season, per source. Team will be patient looking for bargains with $4.4M cap-room exception or remaining cap space. Dirk will get exception or rest of cap space, whichever is more. Like really sucks. Nobody had money this FA period and he will most likely see way less minutes this year. Quote

He's also fairly undersized and a defensive liability. I knew he had a chance at the league but I didn't even expect him to be around for four seasons at this point. He should be happy with the $3 mil. Class of '66 Old Fart, 8bucks, ellen.walden and 1 other 4 Quote

JHoosier914 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 I would be surprised if he has much of a spot after this season, depending on where they play Doncic. He needs every penny he canSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

It's definitely on the low end for a good back up guard. I mean Fred Van Vleet, who is better than Yogi but not by a ton, just got 9 million a year. Of course it's still a lot of money. It just sucks that he couldn't get more, which he probably could've in a different year. I'm sure this wasn't the contract he hoped he'd be signing. Stuhoo 1 Quote

There is potential and examples for guys like him to get more; but he’s got about five years left to earn like that. Still doesn’t suck; he’s a squared away guy that’s set for life. Quote
Hovadipo Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Mavs rescinded Yogi’s qualifying offer, making him unrestricted. Quote
