I've seen my brother three times in the last 3 1/2 years while he is serving his country in the armed forces. I guess I don't get all weepy being away from family.

No one is getting weepy. You lay out a totally different situation and use it as reason why someone totally different should make a decision to make you happy. Neat.

Lol you guys going at DG for wanting to play close to home are ridiculous. Some kids wanna play with family and friends cheering them on everyday. Imagine committing to Vandy and having all those fans follow him around his senior season cheering him on like crazy (a lot like how we would with Romeo) shut up and keep ur posts to ur self if your gonna attack or discourage the kid cause he wants to play near his current hometown and help change the direction a his hometown program.

Obviously I’d love to see him in an Indiana uniform, but some of the things y’all are saying are ignorant af

Vandy has a weak fanbase. He had 13k people cheering for him at Hoosier Hysteria. He will get much more love going to IU.

Well there's no denying this. Vandy was 45th in the country in attendance last year with an average of around 9,600. That's barely enough to fill up New Castle Fieldhouse.

The SEC Championship game drew 20,000 last year, which is 2,000 less than the lowest recorded attendance for the Indiana State High School Championships.

"I don't think a decision has been made so anyone claiming to know is BS'in you. That said I think he stays home. Thats the thought"

Email from someone not around Tenn but does this for a living. Take it for what it's worth, but he's kept me informed over the years

Geez. While i hope this isnt the case, it won't surprise me one it. The IU brand just isn't as appealing as it once was.

I love this post, but the state championship is played at Bankers Life which peaks at just over 18,000 so don’t see how this makes much sense

Probably should've worded it more clearly, but that's a composite total for all 4 games. Just conjecture, but I'd be willing to bet there wouldn't be much difference if we went back to single class basketball.

Still, last year's 4A game had an attendance of 14,000+

Oh yeah for sure. I see what ur saying now. But it definitely draws crowds. Hopefully most of us could be there watching Indiana commit Romeo Langford in April

I would if I still lived in Indiana. I'm in South Florida where unfortunately nobody gives a **** about basketball.

Some on here act like if we dont get this kid archie should be on the hot seat lol. Chill out we can still get him and if not were still ok. Maybe following recruiting is not healthy for everyone lol

Pretty much, I learned a while ago not to get too excited until they actually commit. Lots of up and downs for IU recruiting in the past few years.

Exactly! He hasn't even coached a game at IU. The fact that he has these kinds of recruits even interested, along with the current incoming class, is pretty impressive.

I don’t really see anyone saying bad things about Archie. Where are y’all getting that from ? I understand being upset if we miss on Darius or Romeo but I haven’t seen anyone say anything bad about Archie

What people on here aren't getting is if you're good enough for the NBA no matter what you will find a way there. Vandy is still a power 5 just like Washington and LSU where the 2 last #1 picks came from. Vandy will not hurt him in terms of getting to the league. He is a top 10 recruit and Shittu may actually go there too and that will be enough to get plenty of scouts in the seats if it wasn't already. It's close to home and a very good academic school. These last few threads have made me not even wanna share on here good or bad. Even with my "sources", chris007's sources, Paps sources that is only a handful maybe slightly more opinions. There are probably some that feel the opposite way. Calm down and wait it out. I promise you last week I had plenty of ppl tell me all IU and now some say Vandy a week later. The narrative could change again. Let's wait and see PLEASE!!

This! Totally agree.

Harvard isn't a basketball school! Why would Jeremy Lin go there????
