Half the fun of following recruiting is watching the ups and downs of some people on here. I learned a long time ago following recruiting as closely as I do that there will probably be more misses then hits. Enjoy following it and at the end of the day 13 kids would say yes to wear the candy-stripes. And for the misses it keeps me more invested watching other college basketball games. If they both went to Vandy I would look to watch more Vandy game during the year.

True that. Over time you also learn to take emotion out of a recruitment or you start to ride the roller coaster like many here. You also learn many times there aren't as many up and downs in reality as portrayed. I am still perfectly content with where we are. We put ourselves in a great spot.

Even I'm the calm one here. No point in going crazy. DG was the bonus recruit ( that I REALLY wanted). Phinisee imo still hinders us in this regard with DG. (I know, no one but me feels this way).

We get Romeo we have an amazing class.

We get neither, we have a great class.

We get both, it's a historic class.

What's wrong with losing a player to Vandy? ... I don't want to lose a recruit that we're really after. But if it has to happen, I'd almost rather lose a recruit to a really decent dude like Bryce Drew than a sleazeball like Calipari or a rat like Coach K. Besides, as far as I know, neither has made a decision yet.

Archie was hired to win these type battles biggest gripe about Crean he gave up on these type recruitments.We will see soon if Archie can compete with Vandy!

What would be irritating is losing a recruit to a nobody like Vanderbilt. If we lose a recruit to Kentucky or Duke I can live with that.

Vandy was on Garland early and the previous Vandy staff was one of the first offers for Romeo. Drew came in and built a great relationship with both players. While drew was building a relationship with these 2, Archie was building a relationship with McKinley Wright to play at Dayton. What he has done in 8 months on the job is remarkable and the fact that he built that relationship with 2 top 10 players in 8 months and we have a great shot at both is very encouraging moving forward

Why? If it was normal recruitment, I could agree with you. But this has the added affect his mom works there, if I recall correctly. A player as good as he is pretty sure he will make it to the NBA and there are other factors in the decision like family and hometown. Family is important to many people.
