I'm satisfied with our class as it is right now, Hunter and Anderson will bring some much needed shooting to the team and I think Hunter is a day 1 starter.

Obviously would love to get Langford, but regardless of whether it happens or not I think we'll be much improved next year.

An IU commitment from Romeo has more symbolic value than anything if he plans on playing just a single season. Programs are judged on their recruiting power more than they should be, imo. Now I know it's more personal for our fanbase since he's an in-state kid and yes, he would be a huge boost w/o question. But he nor any other one and done player is the master key to success. Success requires long term planning, and the four coming in + Race are the foundation of such a plan. This is why we shouldn't lose our heads over this if it doesn't go our way.

What's funny is right after HH 0708 said "It's over boys" and that we blew him away in regards to Romeos recruitment.   He usually has good sources though.

That should tell you right there he is not a good source. Insiders don’t speak in absolutes. Never have. Even then unless they are the family they don’t know when it’s this quiet. He may not come here, but the dude is not a source on this. I would bet my house on that.

Yeah, just reading tea leaves like the rest of us.

There is enough circumstantial evidence of Romeo to Vandy I could claim insider status on this one and likely be right. He's doing the same.

As mentioned above, kind of easy to just say Romeo to Vandy is a done deal since they just landed two 5-star guys. If IU lands him, a great class becomes an exceptional class. If not, IU will still be just fine! Archie couldn't do much more.

Just read the short IndyStar article from after the game last night. As quiet as Romeo and the family usually are, I didn't expect him to openly state that Garland is working on him to go to Vandy. Everyone knows this of course, but I was still surprised he just put it out there.

Romeo is just stating what everyone already knows. He isn't going to say anything other than what people already know for the remainder of his recruitment until he commits to a school. I do think it is really a important 5 game stretch coming up in this recruitment though.

The problem with tea leaves is they still possess personal bias or interpretation of a situation. With so much time left in this recruitment it will be hard to get excited in either direction until mid to late January or early February when this starts to heat up.

Honestly I wouldn't blame Romeo for choosing somewhere else. 

Davis isn't the force we hoped he would be and Morgan still seems timid compared to what we need from him. We had hopes to be able to promise him a great front court. And it doesn't look like we can. 

That being said if we lose him to Vandy. It's shady.

Yeah, if we lose him to Kansas then I won't be mad. It'll make sense, he can play for a national championship. If he goes to Vandy though... $u$piciou$.

Could be there was a direct question from the reporter that led to the answer? Notice there was nothing about Kansas, but there was that about Vandy and he didn’t notice the IU players there. It’s pretty obvious it was a lead in question. DG has came out in interviews and said he was doing this. I wouldn’t look too much into this answer. He was asked.

Remember we are down to 3 schools now so questions will be asked about these schools and if u mentioned Vandy when asking a question Garlands name will come up. Romeo has been involved with so many package deals in the past and has commented on them at the time. When he played in Egypt he commented on the potential of playing with reddish and Quickley, I’ve also seen interviews on potentially playing with grimes and of course Garland. In all these he made it clear no package deal and he will make individual decision. In garlands interviews from early in the summer it was clear he wanted so badly to be a package deal with other players. He has been linked to wanting to play with Reddish, Jones, Bagley and of course Romeo. After duke fell through looks like he just went down the top 10 line and picked the next available to start talking package(Shittu). Interesting recruitment still with Romeo moving forward More twist and turns ahead. Can’t wait
