How many 5* on the court for the Michigan-Loyola game?

One thing is clear you dont need 5 stars all the the time to make the final. Michigan has not had to beat over a 6 seed to make the final but the highest ranked recruit they have was ranked #65. They have one heck of a coach who has made the final twice now in six years. All without having this five star talent the blue bloods have every year. His system is what does it.

To me, if I have a quality center, a quality Point, a quality wing and then add another wing, the quality (or value) of my point guard doesn't go down.  The quality of the class goes up.
Worthless because it no longer measures the value and quality of a team with an extra guy. A class can't get diminishing returns. It might not get better by adding Jeremiah April, but the other recruits didn't lose talent because of it.

... it’s an algorithm. It does so to balance class size and talent so that a class of 6 3 stars isn’t better than a class of 2 5 stars. If you want to know the ranking of a player, just look at the ranking.

It’s honestly ridiculous how everyone on here thinks they are some kind of genius and considers the individuals who evaluate high school and college basketball for a living are morons.

While it may seem like Romeo is golden regardless of where he spends his year of college, I would argue that that's not necessarily true. Many McDonalds All-Americans have flamed out in the past. I forget who posted the numbers on here, but a sizeable portion of them never get more than a few cups of coffee in the NBA. What if that happens to Romeo? I don't expect it to, but he wouldn't be the first "can't miss" recruit to flop. Imo, where he goes to college is very important, and I commend him for not rushing into a decision.

The flameouts are the reason the NBA created the rule causing high school students to play ball one year after high school somewhere before declaring for the draft after so many teams signed flameouts to big contracts straight out of high school and lost a lot of money doing that.

^ yes this.  people like to create an echo chamber where they can live willfully ignorant to thoughts that might challenge the conclusions they possibly already finalized without all of the information.

I’m not sure how much we will win next year without Romeo. We need a scorer and Romeo fits the bill. I’m not sold on any of the other freshmen being able to step on the court day 1 and put up double digit points per game.

Don't forget the intriguing grad transfers we appear to be in on.

I haven’t. We haven’t got him yet and a lot of others are in on him too. Regardless, we need a scorer before we can be successful next year. Romeo, grad transfer, one of the freshmen already coming, whoever it is needs to be able to be an efficient scorer

I’d argue we need two scorers and another shooter.

All but gone from UE.  The destination is not clear yet though.

This is how I eventually read it, too. We’ve known that, though. (I guess maybe the occasional potential transfer asks for release but ends up returning but given his options, that seems unlikely in this case.)

Considering they landed a brand new coach recently would leave it up in the air a bit.  With a talent like Taylor, there is no doubt Walter McCarty was going to get a word in.  Sounds like that didn’t sway him though according to Nick.
