(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Recommended Posts

Not the point.   At all.  I said if he was a definite IU commit, he would have committed by now.  If he were already a definite commit, he would be through the information gathering stage and have already made his "business decision."    The larger point is I don't believe one bit that he is a "decided" and definite IU commit right now.

He is probably waiting to finish his hs career so he won’t hear the boos wherever he plays!

Its unlikely his evaluations are highly positive. Likely only losing him if he is gone regardless what he hears

We have no idea. He could go into the process thinking he’s just getting feedback with intentions to come back, and then could wow a team into wanting to see more of him, etc.

Unless Morgan definitively isn’t even going to test the waters, nobody will know on the date of Langford’s committment if he’ll be back.

Juwan Morgan is not leaving

As  my dad said, "He would not be drafted if there were three rounds". There isn't a huge appeal for a 6 foot 7 power forward who can't shoot.

Keep in mind depending on the school and compliance office, they will count a whole sectional as one contact (3 possible games for 1 contact)

Off topic, but what is the sequence for Indiana HS postseason? Here in Illinois, it is Regional, Sectional, Supersectional(Elite Eight) and Final Four in Peoria.

Romeo could very well want to see if Morgan is sticking around.

Yes Morgan will be a superstar next year and will also command his fair share of shots, but will Shittu and Garland really be any different? If Romeo was worried about someone else obtaining some of the spotlight as well I highly doubt Kansas and Vanderbilt would be his other two options. Now if I’m Romeo I’m less inclined to choose IU if Morgan does leave (which I doubt he will), due to the fact that the team would be much worse. We’ll see though

When was the last time they both visited? When was the last time Romeo visited us? Again going to his games he has limited amounts. I would venture to say there is some level of communication that we don’t see or hear about. For the life of me I am not sure why some of you are getting so caught up in this. Now if he were in his state title game and we could use 3 more visits on him then ok. But he has as many as 9 games left and 5 or 6 that mean something. It’s ok. We are recruiting him as the other schools. I am pretty sure Archie and Romeo knows where the other stands.

For everyone that says if Romeo goes to Vandy that they'll be terrible.....maybe they won't be. It is possible that he, DG and Shittu(once healthy) will do very well together. To say they will still be awful sounds like bitterness. In fact if we were to get those 3 I think everyone on here would be talking "Final 4". Now I have quickly grown a distaste for Drew and they way he's going about things but to think he's not going to win games with top end talent is kind of silly and nearly hypocritical. Also please stop with the "absolutes" on topics that you have "absolutely" no concrete info on. I'm done with my rant now.

Talent still requires coaching. And role players. Look at UK this year

And look at most years for UK. You can use outliers to support nearly any argument. The reality is that UK talent more often than not produces good to great results. Also Crean's best years '12-'13 and then '15-'16 were more about his coaching acumen rather than talent? I'd beg to differ.
