Do the IU insiders? I feel like I've heard more of that they have no clue to be honest.

People are very positive after peegs chats but I guess though we can go with vandy leads for now and be pleasantly surprised if iu gets him. Drew could pull of the greatest recruiting coup in the history of the ncaa. Nothing to see here folks.

I guess the one thing I continue to go back to, is the report that Romeo was the one who asked to go to the IU-Northwestern game. That just stands out to me among all else.

The fact he doesn't even intend to go to a Vanderbilt game is curious as well. I heard people say they saw on the peegs board his family and the New Albany staff want him to go to IU. Hopefully this has helped us sway him.

The weird thing is that Garland seems to think they are closer friends than Langford seems to feel. Not that he doesn't consider him a friend. Just seems like a whole lot of Garland running his mouth.

The vibe I get is he really wants to take his time to make a choice and I think he's really focused on NA winning a title. He seems really humble to me and doesn't like attention. He also seems like he appreciates good hard nosed basketball. Which is why him and his dad like Archie.

I'm a NA resident it would mean a lot to me if he went to IU. If he doesn't I will definitely be bummed. But I'm still excited for Indiana's future. Archie will do great things.

I don’t have any hard info backing this up but I think there is no question Drew coordinated with Garland to get closer to Romeo when they took their OVs to IU back in October. Garland played IU to get more time with Langford, which is a pretty deceitful and unethical move.

It sure is. Garland is arrogant and drew is desperate. That combination will make you do shady things if need be.
Maybe not illegal but shady.

He is in constant communication with Darius and Simi and remains in touch with the entire staff. Everything from the inner circle that I and I am sure Jesse messes with, says Langford still has Vanderbilt in the lead."

Yeah, not a huge fan of the way the Langfords have decided to go about this recruitment.

Don't get me wrong, I really, really want talent.

But if he is STILL legitimately considering Vandy at this stage in the game that tells me about everything I need to know.

I'm torn here but his lack of conviction or his complete desire to sell himself is off putting to me.

He's either more wishy washy than Billy Donovan and honestly still doesn't know what he wants yet or else what I've been predicting is correct in that he's known all along where he's going and simply isn't ready to give Hoosier fans the news until his season is over.  I just don't see any other possibilities.

Yep, that's how I read it too. OR he is waiting and holding out to gain even more of the national spotlight. I don't truly believe he is still undecided.

Either he is holding out to stay in fans good graces, etc, or he is holding out to gain media spotlight.

I want Romeo and I want him bad.  But, I refuse to let Garland and his recruitment of Romeo get me mad.  I know we have a killer coach that will recruit what he needs and IU big picture is coming back whether the rest of college basketball likes it or Not!  Stick around!
