JSHoosier Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 The margin of error is small. I think Crean is a good coach but seems to be on the short end of that margin a lot. He is either unlucky or not the guy to get us over the hump. Either way, he needs to have a year where we are on the winning side of that small margin frequently this year and against good and bad teams I wouldn't call it bad luck, at this point in his career the luck will most likely balance out. Yogi'sBicep Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Now that I'm calm. Hostile place where we haven't won since 98. Despite how bad we played we were in the position to win it, like it or not. They showed character by not giving up- that's what winners do. So, we were off shooting and had a bad defensive night.. Ok. The ship isn't sinking because of one game. Despite how bad we played, we HAD A CHANCE against a team who really isn't THAT bad. I can only wish the players take this loss as a lesson learned & have that fire in their eyes that Yogi does the next couple games. I look for us to stomp Minnesota, hopefully enough to where bench can play a little and maybe get something going. Then, on to Michigan!! And I guarantee you we won't lose that one!! :) Breathe people. Breathe. hyzy, ALASKA HOOSIER and lakejameshoosier 3 Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Which one of those bozos called the foul on Troy when the Wisconsin player dribbled the ball off his leg and out of bounds? The guy calling the game with Dakich actually announced it as a turnover and was taken aback when he realized a foul had been called. That play was a Kohl Center special. Edit: I'm gonna guess the guy on the left. The look on his face says "You're wearing a dark jersey? Foul, for not wearing white." HoosierCoop and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

As soon as the whistle blew there was a ref signaling a foul, who was in good position to see the play. Quote
Str8Hoosiers Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I think Yogi should have kicked when he drove. They were collapsing on him hard when he drove. IMO someone should have got into the lane. I said that last night before the play. But everyone knew Yogi was taking that shot. Who would you have been happy to see him kick it to on the drive? I honestly don't remember who was on the floor at the very end but I would have loved a kick to an open shooter... ANYBODY! I haven't known exactly where to put this and I don't want it to come across as attacking a player but when is Yogi going to hit a "Clutch"/game wining shot? **** Yogi was our best player in this game, we wouldn't have been even close without him, his stat line is amazing (except lack of assists)..... But when the game is on the line I cringe when I know he will be taking the last shot (if indeed we even get a shot up). It just NEVER seems to drop for him... Does he rush the shot? Make bad decisions? Completely unlucky? Class of '66 Old Fart and Naturalhoosier 2 Quote

I had been begging all game for him to shoot more than he did as I don't think they could guard him unless he drove. I did not want anyone else to shoot but whoever that quote comes from is spot on. We barely ever even get off what you would call a reasonable shot. Quote

Watched that replay a few times...a Reggie-esque initiating of the contact would've been handing. Needs to develop initiating that contact on drives. He could get to the stripe so much more in games. coonhounds Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I give props to those that can stomach watching replays of that game. I have moved on and don't think I can relive that disappointment over lol. Ready for Minnesota Quote
