8bucks Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 This is pretty cool. Open spot and a need for another practice player. Not expecting him to play much but still would have been a thrill for anyone Geometry Hoosier 1 Quote
Dalton26 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 DESPERATE! Or they're rewarding a kid who has worked hard for the program as a manager to fill an extra spot due to an injury. mamasa, djsalway, Walking Boot of Doom and 1 other 4 Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Desperate times call for desperate measures. Yup, nothing like calling up the manager to turn around our improving team. [emoji52] Quote
IU Bud Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 This is pretty cool. Open spot and a need for another practice player. Not expecting him to play much but still would have been a thrill for anyone He grew up a diehard IU fan like many of us that could only dream to put the uniform on and run out on the court. My daughters boyfriend moved to Zionsville before their senior year. She went up to go to a homecoming dance with her boyfriend. They double dated with Jackson and got to know him pretty well. She pointed him out during one of the games she went to. He has to be thrilled. IUsafety, LockdownD, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote
MartintheMopMan Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Here are two articles confirming he did exist at some point. http://thetimes24-7.com/main.asp?SectionID=2&SubSectionID=143&ArticleID=8307&TM=44001 http://www.thetowntalk.com/story/sports/preps/recruiting-central/2013/07/18/hoosier-basketball-magazine-top-100-list/2563547/ I like his name. It makes me sound like I have a lisp. Quote

Stuhoo Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Desperate times call for desperate measures. That's just silly. We are 4-0 in the B1G and added a walk-on to replace JBJ's body during team drills. The Ola Depot, Crimson and Cream, Napleshoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I like these kind of cool stories. Every Indiana kids' dream.....Congrats to Tharp. It's always great to have another 6'4" inch guard for practice purposes and most of us know how talented most of the managers are for IU BBall anyway. Tharp was an all-conference basketball player in his own right. Go Hoosiers! IUsafety, ALASKA HOOSIER, Kepner and 2 others 5 Quote
