[Class of '66 Old Fart]

Adam Finkelstein:  Purdue has landed a commitment from Milton Academy & Middlesex Magic guard CJ Cox.  Cox is an ultra-gritty two-way combo-guard who took his game to new levels this summer & led the Magic to a UAA championship.

 

In other PUke news, they  lost out on 7' 2" Trent Burns who picked Missouri over the Toiletmakers, Xaver, Tulsa and Rice.

"Middlesex Magic" and CJ "Cox"...I had to google to confirm these were real.

Illinois’ starting PG just landed. Has already played with the FC Barcelona senior team in the Euroleague at 17, which is pretty nuts. Blew up at the Basketball Without Borders event, but no one recruited him because the assumption was that he’d play this year in the ABL and then go straight to the draft. Must be a smoking NIL package.
