JaybobHoosier Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 I can't take Crean serious anymore in these post game interviews. My god. What did he say? Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I am hoping playing in the small gym at Maui will help us get ready for the small gym at Cameron Indoor! Quote
hoosierdogg Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 We gave up 70 points to Alcorn State! :rtfm: Pathetic. Although we did do a better job in the second half, we let them dominate us on the boards and on points in the paint. Can't do that against quality opponents because we're not going to shoot the lights out every game. We'll find out against Duke if we learned any lessons in Maui. Hoosiers outrebounded AS 37-26, so IU did not get dominated on the glass. AS did have 3 more offensive rebounds 15-12, but some of those were on very bad AS shots, long rebounds. Still, Hooisers must block out at a higher level against better competition. Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Another good omen----progress---IU free throw shooting---19/25 76% hoosierdogg and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
hoosierdogg Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 If AS scores 70, how many points does Duke get on us? Doesn't matter how many points Duke gets as long as Hoosiers score at least 1 more. mamasa, ALASKA HOOSIER, The Baby Bull and 1 other 4 Quote
BlueDevil Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 What did he say? Opened with what he thought was the biggest difference and his first remark was "the time zone" Feathery and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
Feathery Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Not much to learn from a game against such a poor opponent. We need quality wins to make the Dance. Duke and ND loom large. Quote
HoosierAloha Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Points per game is not a big deal but 70 to AS is not great. 0.87 ppp isn't bad, held them below their average... HoosierHoops1 and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Popular Post Josh Posted December 1, 2015 Popular Post Posted December 1, 2015 I'll always have a soft spot for Alcorn State. In my 20's I traveled America, living in about 15 different cities every year. I lived a month on Alcorn State's campus, living in the student union. It's the most depressing place I've ever been in my life. I can't say it's the only campus I've seen that's surrounded by fence and barbed wire....I've also been to Jackson State down the road. I'm not sure if the barbed wire is to keep people in or out. I do know that the people inside both are very nice. Just a really underprivileged part of America. If you've never spent time in rural Mississippi you're missing a large group of what makes America. Alcorn State actually offered me a full scholarship that I turned down. No way I could live there, but I'll always cheer for their teams to succeed. Except today. Great win Hoosiers. We seem to play better when the offense is run through Yogi instead of Troy. bleedhoosier Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Well, that eventually turned into a beating after he boo birds came out. Blackmon looked great against a rec team. Happy to see Hartman just getting some run and a little point forward experiment. Ziesloft scored a 2 pointer.. And I pretty much love OG... More OG!! Let him have all of morgans mins and get him experience. Going to need him come February when legs get tired. ALASKA HOOSIER and Hoosier_roots 2 Quote

I personally would have preferred to win 85 to 25 to show a commitment to focusing on defense but I suppose we are what we are. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 We took care of business---now we need a win against a good team like Duke or Notre Dame....let's get it! Quote
Old Friend Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 "With our schedule we gotta make sure we are air tight in everything" I heard that, too. It sounded like he thinks Indiana has an un-necessarily hard schedule. Wonder if he truly wants sympathy for the schedule? Sounds like he wants it because we don't have much of a bench in the front court... I wish he'd elaborate. Quote
Hoosier_roots Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Far to many easy drives to the basket. This team was a lose lose for our guys tonight. Do something good and its because AS was so bad, screw something up and it looks far worse against a team that bad. Overall I'd say AS was that bad and the boys did what they should've. We saw what happens against stiffer competition and I have a feelings we'll see the same on wednesday. These Hoosiers in Cameron? I'm scared! ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
BGleas Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Assuming he meant travel schedule with Maui and then Durham so soon after. But if he actually meant the difficulty of the schedule itself, that's funny. Our non-conference took a huge hit not playing Vandy or Kansas, and our conference schedule is arguably the easiest in the Big Ten.I heard that, too. It sounded like he thinks Indiana has an un-necessarily hard schedule. Wonder if he truly wants sympathy for the schedule? Bobman1 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 If we wanna gain some respect back in the CBB world, it's from beating Duke. Sure, I'll take the W, but Alcorn hasn't won a game all season. Does Crean keep the small ball lineup? Quote
ALASKA HOOSIER Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Didn't get to watch the game but got to sneak listen at work. Sounded like our D was again abysmal. What the heck is going on? Why can't we play a simple defense plan and learn it like it is second nature. If we can learn an easy defense, it will be an improvement on what we are doing right now. I'm really terrified of the Dookies Quote
