Still hard for me to believe the announcers do not have to discuss the UNC sanctions but that is because......."THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY!!
Fake classes, players that get parking tickets while driving multiple different cars (wonder how they got those cars) and a culture of absolute academic fraud for YEARS and nothing happens. The way the NCAA administers "justice" is a complete joke.

I'm as critical of the NCAA as the next guy, and doubt they'll do their jobs with UNC, but I don't think you're giving this thing enough credit. Of course they don't have sanctions yet, it's a huge legal process. The Notice of Allegations was 59 pages long, that's a massive case. There are millions of documents. They spent millions of dollars on just producing the documents. They have five Level 1 transgressions over 18 years.

All of this is handled with a pseudo-trial. The discovery in a regular trial of this size would go on for years and the trial may take months. They'll wrap this whole thing up in half the time. The hearing is scheduled for later this month. A decision will be made within 3 months of the hearing. This whole process is insanely fast for what they accomplish.

I know from an outsiders standpoint, it seems like it takes forever. But, from a legal standpoint? This is a wicked quick system.

ESPN has ignored the UNC scandal at a staggering level.

Totally true. It's pretty shameful really.

4-4---I guess it's up to IU to pull the Big Ten to victory!  (GULP!) :o

I agree on the UNC scandal---the real scandal is that nothing is happening to them because of the scandal!

I'm still holding out hope but there seems to be an NCAA-proof force field around Chapel Hill and Lexington.
