ESPN 100 forward Javin Montgomery-Delaurier added an offer from Arizona. Played for Team Loaded on the circuit. Stock continues to rise.

That kid is a MONSTER. Watched him in a tournament on ESPNU and was blown away.

There must be something going on out there in Tuscon...  But hopefully Crean keeps the heat on Davis.  Would be a huge get for us in 2016.  I do think Texas is the real competition here.

I still think "must get" is a fair label here. Not just for the need on the court but also for the confidence of the staff and fans in recruiting. We've been a favorite for this kid from the beginning lets seal the deal.

Getting a big like Davis would be instrumental in getting someone like T.J. Leaf.  We have to remember that when Leaf committed to Arizona this past November, he knew if he came here that he'd probably be one of the biggest guys on the team, and there would be a good chance of him having to guard opposing bigs in the B1G.

 

T.J. is definitely a wing/stretch 4 who sees himself as more of a 3, so he doesn't want to even entertain the idea of guarding Daniel Giddens, Isaac Haas, Diamond Stone, etc.

 

DeRon Davis would be a great addition to a frontcourt of Thomas Bryant and Emmitt Holt.

I agree, I think Leaf would like the idea of playing the 3 spot, especially in IU's offense.  Which he has already said he loves how Tom Crean runs his offense.

Davis has to be among the top ten most underrated players in this class. 58th according to ESPN. Come on. Any big man that can handle the ball and shoot like he does should be in the top 30.
