Naturalhoosier Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Just finished the game and YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Teams of old would have managed to lose. One thing I've noticed is that the Ds pursuit is the best I've ever seen. Napleshoosier, JaybobHoosier, Miller'sTheMan and 2 others 5 Quote
biteoftheapple Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 All against non power 5 conference teams tho... Let's make it 5 in a row next week! Not quite true. Crimson and Cream, jmsgws and HoosierReb01 3 Quote
Miller'sTheMan Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 We are very lucky to get back to back stud RB's. Coleman was an all-american, and way too early to tell with Howard but he already has 507 yards through 3 games so far this season. Napleshoosier and Crimson and Cream 2 Quote

One thing I've noticed is that the Ds pursuit is the best I've ever seen. The defense also finds ways to get turnovers, they have 7 through 3 games this season. The defense has played much better in the 2nd half of games this season, we need to find a way to have them play that way the whole game. Quote

Popular Post GnarlyNormEllenberger Posted September 20, 2015 Popular Post Posted September 20, 2015 A few thoughts... - We milked away the last six minutes of the game. And WKU had three timeouts to use. When was the last time we've been able to do that? The Mallory/AT days? Anyway, we earned this victory. - Jordan Howard is the best player on this team. Yes, Sudfeld is the leader. Jones is coming on as a receiver. Redding looks solid. Our O-line has a couple gems. But Howard is just such a strong, powerful back. It takes so much to bring him down. He's just on a higher level than most RBs. If he was at Notre Dame, he'd already be a Heisman candidate. - Pass defense is poor. But we started pulling a few LBs back in the second half and it helped a bit. Crawford made some good reads on the ball. And our D-line kept them from getting much on the ground, making them one-dimensional. All in all, the D did just enough to win against an offense that would probably be middle of the pack in the Big Ten. - This was a good win. WKU looks to be an 8+ win team this year. If people want to complain about playing Southern Illinois so close, that's legitimate. But WKU is a GOOD mid-major. The kind that can beat Power 5 teams (see Vanderbilt this year.) I'll gladly take a 3-point victory. Gladly. - @Wake Forest becomes a HUGE opportunity for this team. A 4-0 start would be so beneficial for this team. And it's certainly feasible. I think it would allow the players to be a little more loose and play with more confidence. However, 3-1 would possibly stunt our growth and make our path to 6 wins less certain. And with Ohio State looming, our momentum could be lost. Naturalhoosier, HoosierReb01, Bobman1 and 6 others 9 Quote

Alford Bailey Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Get the W and move on. I think if the offense is on we can get by WF but boy you gotta wonder if the offense can keep ahead of what the defense is allowing vs the competition from here on out. Napleshoosier 1 Quote

Alford Bailey Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 4-0 going into the OSU game would make for one heck of a party in a couple weeks. Question is will Hoosier fans outnumber Buckeye fans? I know a group of Buckeyes who love to make the trip to Btown cause the stadium is nice and they always get good seats. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
