So basically his ranking is a reflection of his scoring abilities. Which if Archie recruits like we all are hoping we won't even need

Yep. He isn't 6'4" and hyper athletic. He makes the smart, heady plays. Not the flashy ones. He is the type of kid that will outplay his ranking by pure IQ. He is not a pro prospect and probably never will be. He is a player that you can count on. IMO.

Yes. Being a floor general and defense is what he is known for.

I don't think he helps much with Langford. I think Romeo is more concerned to see how Davis, Morgan, Jones plays and things like that. I don't expect the 18 freshman to play much with Langford for the one season he is here.

I am confused why you quoted me on that?

Edit:  I see now.  I was quoting his second sentence not his first.  I have zero clue on RL.  I live in north part of state.

Just a mistake on my part. Must be too caught up in the eclipse stuff and quoted the wrong person. My bad

Lol you are cool man.  Just figured it out and edited.  I was quoting the second sentence.  You had thought I responded to the first.

I wasn't trying to hate. I have nothing against optimism or predictions but it can be confusing when predictions are presented as facts. That's why I asked for clarification.

The Forrester news is discouraging but maybe the staff will do some official measurements for him on the visit. Also he has to see that he can get more playing time right away at some of his other offers. I suppose this is also Archie's first chance to prove himself as a talent evaluator here, since the 4 other commits were no brainers and Forrester is the first apparent "reach."

It's all good man. You make good points. It's just my thought that Forrester doesn't go to IU

Off topic:

I think Forrester can play an important role in this program. For those asking to hold the scholarship for 2019, we're not landing two stud bigs in that class. Forrester could backup Davis and an elite 2019 big.

I see Thompson as a more bruising 4 that could defend the opponents 5 while Moore defends further out on the perimeter. If he's still growing, I could see the staff wanting him as a backup 5 that develops over his time here. If Forrester is happy in that role and he does grow, I would gladly take him.

All rankings are based on scoring first.  Rankings by....whom?   What do these guys really know?  Most people who rank players have never seen 90% of the kids they rank.   After the top few which are obvious, rankings mean squat.  Hanner Parea was highly ranked (#36 or something) because he could jump and looked the part.   He had zero basketball IQ.   I personally put next to zero stock in rankings.
