Indefinite Farewell To CCG

Hey Everyone,

 

I am taking this time on behalf of the other Mods to inform you that ccg has taken an indefinite leave from the board, and unsure when or if he will return. CCG has been the engine of this site since we came over from 247. His constant recruiting updates and getting us all the latest recruiting information in a very fast manner will be missed. He was a phenomenal person, mod, and poster who loves his Hoosiers. I've gotten the pleasure of moderating with Gary right after HSN was born. My vision at HSN was to start a recruiting forum, and did, but didn't have the time to do it. Ccg stepped right in and made it into one of the best features of that site, and now this site. He is widely known amongst every IU site for what he has done here.

 

We don't know when or if Ccg will be back, but he will be greatly missed. Please use this thread to honor Ccg in all that he did on this site, and say anything to him you would like.

 

Ccg, we will miss you brother and please stay in touch. You are an incredible mod and recruiting guru. Wish you nothing but the best and hope to see you soon!

CCG was one of the main reasons that I found this site.  I'd come to love his postings and information, then noticed that 247 was......lacking.  I realized that several posters had gone and that no real information was coming in anymore.  I saw a posting from him on here and messaged him, asking if this was his new home.  When I found out that he, Stuhoo and Natty had come here, I joined immediately.  Thanks for all of your work and dedication!  Truly only one CCG!!

Thank you for the untold number of hours you've put into this site and keeping us so well-informed.  Thank you for giving us a small nugget of information that we can turn into a 200+ thread in a heartbeat.  Thank you for your dedication to IU and we hope we'll hear from you again and sooner rather than later.  You will certainly be greatly missed.  :(

Same with me. CCG may not have the direct access that other bloggers/writers have, but the info and scoops he finds are top notch and he blows everyone else out of the water when it comes to the "minor sports"(baseball, soccer, darts). Hopefully this will just be a hiatus and ccg will come out the other side of whatever he's dealing with like roses.

I hope all is well. My story is similar to others. I started using forums at HSN. Loved the updates from CCG and everything about HSN. Moved to 247. Didn't like it as well from the start. Heard CCG made his way here and I followed in part because of CCG. I really enjoy recruiting and CCG was one of the best regarding posting applicable and interesting recruiting tidbits quickly.

 I'm fairly new to this site and really don't no the history with CCG as far as other sites

What I do know is he is one of the most informative people i have seen here.When i ask

a question he always answers.

 I also like the no nonsense approach when things started getting dicey.
