Just sayin'...when Michigan played Purdue, Max came in and did a more than respectable job guarding Hammons. I specifically remember watching him do so.

Max is a better offensive rebounder, better with assist, has less turnovers, committs less fouls. HMP is better at getting to the ft line and blocking shots.

His averages are similar to what Zeisloft averaged at Illinois State before he came here.  We all wondered what some kid from a crappy conference who averaged like 6 ppg would be able to provide, but he proved to be a very valuable asset to the team.

 

I look at today's pickup as similar to Zeisloft last year.  We'll be pleasantly surprised with his performance and role on the team, and sometimes he'll save our ass.

He seems to be a good rebounder. Sounds like a solid defender. His stats aren't that far off from our starter last year in fewer minutes per game.

There will be times that Bryant struggles with foul trouble and Max will give us an experienced big to hold down the post when it happens.

Good get.  This team does need leaders, and if he brings that quality, he'll help whether he does anything on the floor or not.   I am interested to see how he fits in Indiana's system.
