First time I saw these was a very small pic on a phone so they looked solid white; basically like our home unis without the pinstripes.

 

Seeing a bigger picture to get more detail they're pretty nice but I still prefer our normal uni.

I guess I'm just too wrapped up in tradition. I hate it when they mess with the uniforms. Even hate all the supposedly "spiffy" and "flashy" football helmets.

Guess you could list me as a thumbs down on those uniforms.

they help grow our brand and most importantly, the kids and especially recruits enjoy them. Not a shot at you, but some of our fans need to stop with the "old is better" narrative, unless you want kids going to duke, UK, MSU, UNC. Change= growth. Sorry for the rant, just irks me.

It probably has more to do with those programs winning more than we have lately.  Alabama football hasn't changed and it hasn't stopped them; even before they got Saban they didn't change, they just refused to accept mediocrity.

They had 6 coaches in between Saban and Bryant with only 1 having "Alabama success" for a season or two. That's being generous because it was not sustained. So that's 6 coaches in 35 years. What did they do in those 35 years to not accept mediocrity?

Hell even by those standards IU is doing what Bama did all those years. Hopefully we are waiting for our Saban? I think Bama would have been worse than us if they had message boards from the 80s til '07. The last few years before Saban must have been fun.

Indiana has changed their uniforms throughout their history. Not sure why people keep saying we are fooling with tradition. The only way we could do that is if we changed the colors or added names to the back.
