With the fan base it's hot. But it seems Glass and others are less concerned at this point. But that could possibly be smoke and mirrors.

Their scout board seems to want him. There a few who want miller or marshall.

On 247 there were quite a few on board with it, but there was a definite faction that want no part.  Some mentioned Miller and Marshall, the occasional Stevens mention (dream on Bama, dream on).

Those guys wont go to Bama because they are hoping Crean will and IU will open up. We might be irrelevant(at the moment) but this job is a potential goldmine.

I read where McClain is up for the UIC job. Is this another domino falling in line with the Alabama opening and still no Crean basketball camps scheduled? The coming weeks are going to be very interesting!

Interesting about the summer basketball camps. That is a new angle. Don't know how early they normally set that up but last year the camps started in late June.

It was actually brought up here a few weeks ago, but I checked today and nothing. All other major IU sports have 2015 camps scheduled along with some other sports. It was noted that the basketball camp had been up by February in years past.

Could mean nothing. Who knows.

Why are you such a negative Nancy about replacing Crean with a good coach? IU is a destination job with great facilities, passionate fans, and the state of Indiana is a recruiting hot bed. Replacing Crean with a better coach won't be a problem. R-E-L-A-X

I just don't see any good options. For the most part they are mid-major coaches with a similar pre-IU resume as Crean had.

You don't think guys like Marshall have a better resume than Crean while he was at Marquette? Crean had dWade for 2 season, other than that it was like Mike Davis. There are plenty of guys out there with more consistancy than Tom Crean has had in his Marquette and IU gigs.

Crean is a strike out, so a double would even be better that what he have.

Just looked up Billy Donovan's stats at Florida. NCAA 14/19 years. NIT 3 times. No NCAA in first year and current year. Been to finals 3 times, winning 2. 3 elite 8s, 1 final four, 1 sweet sixteen. First round exit 3 times, second round 3 times. 467-186 overall (.715) and 202-109 conf (.650).

Marshall for 2 years 35-20.

I see from ESPN's bracket analysis page that we have <1% chance of winning the whole thing this year. Thank God. For a moment there I thought all hope was lost.

Isn't this perception what we are trying to get away from? We want to fire the guy because he won't win a title here. I want him gone but I want a homerun. I don't want just an improvement. As bad as you all feel Crean is an improvement isn't much. I don't want another coach here for seven years then gone. That is when you know you are truly irrelevant.
