Potential fallout from coaching change

Hova, do you realize that the article written by crimson quarry and then picked up by sporting news was based on an email that Crimson Quarry got citing your post in this thread...

wow, no wonder they are so grossly misinformed. No offense Hova but they should research their stories better.

It's just had the national media commenting/slamming IU fans for being ridiculous. Seems to be a bit overblown from what a lot of people are tweeting who were there.

exactly my point. Rival "kids" goofing off. Wasn't the whole crowd and NOT IU fans necessarily. Still not cool but seemingly overblown, especially the IU fan part.

I'd have insinuated to Mr. Ferrell that we're fine with that, as we're looking for a quality point guard anyway.

Now, now, now, before everyone goes postal on me. I like Yogo. I like Yogi a lot. But Yogi is more of a shooting guard than a point guard, (well, in my opinion he is). He dribbles too damned much, takes too many shots and doesn't position his team mates properly so they can more easily score. And like everyone else on this team, his defense is lacking, even if he may be the best of the lot.

You do realize Yogi averaged more assists, during B1G play, than any other B1G player?  Not disagreeing that he dribbles too much.

Yeah. That was really never my intention. And even I downplayed it as stupid high school kids being stupid high school kids. If anything I would call it shoddy journalism. They wrote an entire article based on an email based on an anonymous message board post. No context whatsoever.

Smh classless act by south. I remember at the north-south game last year while Kaleb Ferral was out playing for North, South let out something along the lines of a "yogi sucks" chant. No need for personal attacks like that imo.

I wonder if the BHSS students would like to direct their opinions about CTC to Jordy Hulls? I bet Jordy, one of South's own, would have some choice words for this current group.

I gotta disagree with you. I can see what you're saying with him dribbling too much and maybe he takes more shots than many would like for a pg to take, but I really think he's just doing his job and running the offense like he is told. Unfortunately, the offense is designed to dribble the ball A TON and for him to shoot more than anyone else. A lot of his shots come at the end of the shot clock when we have dribbled for 25 seconds and done nothing to go to the rim, and the other players throw it to him and clear out.

If we don't do it now we never will, we will probably be top 25 next year and that will be good enough for some of our fans and admins who only care about having a little fun and rooting really hard, not winning, which is all I care about.
Crean will be a genius for taking a program that almost a decade ago had sanctions and by some divine intervention got them in the top 25, a truly super human coaching effort. Glass will give him an extension and I will run out of fuel for this battle and will be beaten into a submission of mediocrity.

Where have been the last 20 years beside the run in 2002 and a couple of sweet 16 appeances a couple years ago. Your fuel should of ran out a while ago. From the last 20 years of watching Iu, mediocrity is where we r at. If u would like to be depressed look at our tournament results since 1994. If I knew how to provide a link I would, if someone else could provide it. Thank you

Guy over at peegs claims to be connected to program as a local physician. Swears Crean will be back next year. Says Crean thinks they can be title contenders with Bryant. Reiterates Crean will be back multiple times.

Not sure if this is a troll or not but I've been pessimistic of a coaching change immediately after the Bryant news broke. Lots of people saying lots of things. Not sure what to believe.

There has never been a real source about anything, whatsoever, confirming Crean being fired or even actually in jeopardy of it.

People Freaked out that Bryant and the Makers came to the MSU game, because somewhere a fallacy had been created about Crean on the way out and the created some "mixed signals" logic. They came because he's trying to improve the 2015-16 Indiana team that he's intending to coach and nothing had/has changed on that front.

People come on here and talk about it every day and it grows. The only truth about it, appears to be, that people, uninvolved, are talking about it.
