It is incredible they are in the race with their roster. It is awful, there maybe 3 worse in the league, 76ers, Lakers without Kobe, and Knicks without Melo. Yet they are still kind of there. Arguable Lakers is better. Dude is doing a hell of a job

Tell me about it.. The Celtics roster is way worse than my Lakers squad. I'm still shocked Brad went Pro.....

I have been saying that since Crean couldn't beat a 2-3 zone 2 years ago with 2 lottery players and six 1000 point scorers on the same team. Here we are 2 years later and he still can't beat a 2-3 zone even when its Northwestern instead of Syracuse.

We had six 1,000 point scorers on that team????

What can we as fans even do to have our voice be heard?

Boycott a potential home NIT game. I'm talking less than 100 people in attendance, counting family members and the opposing team's fans. I'm sure there are other ways, but this would be a loud and clear message, albeit hard to deliver.

I just saw on Facebook, a prominent judge down here in Clark county is selling his season tickets until there is a change...

I would think if the bucks stop coming...the voices will be heard.

Watford, Hulls, Zeller, Oladipo, Sheehey, Yogi.

Ahh I didn't know we were counting eventual 1,000 point players in Sheehey and Yogi.  I mean if that were the case our 5 1,000 point scorers in 2011-2012 team underachieved in B1G play by finishing 5th (?).

Yes (?). Idk haha I'm just assuming that's what he meant by 6. You could also say we underachieved in 11-12 with 2 eventual lottery picks too, but no one actually thinks 11-12 was an underachieving year...at least I don't think so.

Edit: I guess he already said the lottery pick thing too. I don't know what point I'm trying to make. I'm emotional.

Aloha hug, I'm right there with you.

It's perfectly fine to state facts that show the poor product the IU basketball program has been.  I just have a problem with people attempting to beef up their arguments after the fact.  We should have been better in 2010-2011 with the eventual #2 overall pick.  Just seems weak and looks like your grasping at straws.  Their is enough out there to complain about.

Tonight has brought me out of BTB retirement. I've been on the fence with Crean for the past 2 years. Not defending him against haters, just against overly dumb comments about him. I'm done defending him at all.

Quite possibly the lowest night of my IU fandom. I was ready to leave with about 5:30 left but couldn't do it. I knew we would come back and make it a game. By 2:00 I had given in. Given in on the game and more so on our leader. I walked out of the Hall feeling helpless. Watching whatever that was tonight was the most disappointed I've been since the last season of Prison Break. People were yelling for Brad Stevens during quiet times (there were plenty of those) in the building. The pictures of the crowd put out by the media before the game were misleading. Once the game got going the student section was as full as it has been with the exception of Maryland, and we stood the entire game (unlike some other games). The team got everyone into it a few times just to let us down not-so-softly with a turnover or foul.

I'll be back Saturday holding up 3 fingers every time we chuck one, I'll take in the 1974-75 team ceremony in lieu of senior day, and you better believe I'll go nuts when Troy dunks on someone, but I have zero interest in seeing Tom Crean on the Hoosier sideline in November 2015 unless he's handing Yogi a cup of Gatorade and folding his candy stripes at the end of the bench.

As a current student I couldn't have said it better. I too was at the game and also left with about 2 minutes to play. From the end of the second half my buddies had started the who should coach next conversation in a group text. Normally I don't join in because for whatever reason I backed Crean nearly 100% of the time, but tonight I was doing research to see who could be a viable signing.

LOL, your example is the Hawks? Who have NEVER won anything and won't this year! You need stars to win in the NBA playoffs and the Hawks have a bunch of B players. Good for the regular season but nobody will remember them for that. Again, the Celtics have zero. So unless they somehow grab something better than LBJ, Love and Irving... Boston won't win anything for a long time with or without Stevens. Just sayin

Neat, wish I had a crystal ball. That way I could predict the playoffs easily.

Also, lol at throwing Love in the same category as LBJ. This season has done more to prove Love isn't even in the same league as most stars in the NBA. Can't wait to see the Cavs not live up to expectations in the playoffs since they have one guy who qualifies as a great defender when engaged, and a bunch of crap otherwise

This is the first time I've ever turned off an IUBB game when I had nothing else to do. The state of mind that most of you seemed to have reached emotionally and mentally is the state of mind I was in after the first Purdue game. I'm tired of mediocre! I haven't posted/commented/or read to much since then. It's terrible to not be able to root for them wholeheartedly but I can't because I truly believe that if they win just enough all they are going to do is keep a coach that is going to win just enough year to year to stay mediocre! I'd rather flame out so that there is no choice but to change than to continue accepting mediocrity.

I don't need a "crystal ball" you wise ass. Just look at the history of champions since 1980..

You notice a little something in that history bud? Star player(s)win in this league. The only exception is maybe the 04 Pistons, but that is the exception. OBVIOUSLY not the RULE.

I'm by no means a Cavs fan because I love the Pacers. But you'd be foolish to think we even have a chance while Lebron and co are there. Let alone, the rebuilding Celtics. So back to the point, the Celtics aren't going to be anything with or without Stevens the next 5 years. And that's IF they draft right and find some difference makers.

Who said anything about the Pacers beating the Cavs. Any team that can play defense at the next level can beat them. Playoffs is where defense is king in the NBA. Cavs have a bunch of garbage defensive guys and LBJ

I doubt I even watch the game Saturday.  It's senior day for the Lady Sycamores, and we're going to it, plus the MVC tournament will be going strong as it starts tomorrow, and hopefully the men's team will make a good showing.

Been a supporter of Coach Crean, and like most, I've given him leeway, but, after again only getting to see the first half live, then follow on ESPN scorecenter app, I think it's time he's shown the door.  He's had time to rebuild, and, well, he frankly hasn't shown me a thing.

Frustrating beyond all belief.

Sure, defense is crucial at any level. But great offense beats great defense almost every time in basketball. My $ is on the Cavs for the next 5 years. That's a pretty safe bet

Hopefully, Brad is smart enough to see he won't be winning anything for awhile and comes on home. You need players to win along with playing good D and they still have none.
