I think the beating a top 25 team in the tourney depends more on WHO the opponent is than WHERE the game is played. Matchups will be key.

The BTT will depend a lot on matchups as well.  Give me MD in the quarterfinals again.  We stomped them in AH and barely missed a chance at a win on the road.  That would be a chance at the semis against pu most likely.  If we get a crew that is calling it tight we have a chance at them too.  All that means very little if we can't get past our first game in the BTT though. 

 

In the dance, if we get hot we could advance a round or two.  I don't think there will be many teams that have faced an offense like ours, when it's clicking.

I'm really not convinced we are gonna make it guys. Iowa could very well beat us, and I'm expecting a loss to MSU. If we beat Iowa, we are a bubble team and will need a good first round matchup in the BTT

I predicted IU being on the Bubble, and hate that I'm right! With the way the season was going, IU looked to be a solid 6 seed.

I have previously stated that I am history's No. 2 optimist, right behind George A. Custer.

Therefore, I have demonstrated that optimism by plunking down $10 on IU to win it all this year (via a friend who recently went to Reno).

I have also demonstrated loyalty...and more than likely, financial stupidity.

Nope, betting on your team doesn't make you a great fan. Especially if you're doing it as "smart money."

 

Doing it as a show of support and belief, however, does contribute to that status.

I said a few weeks ago I'd have a hard time calling this season a success if we were an 8 seed. Now we may have to win a couple more just to make it that high.

Not good. We have won 3 in a row since Maryland. After we beat Maryland we had won 4 in a row.

I think it's more likely that we will lose the next 3. I will be shocked if we win the next 3. But I think we will probably win 1 and lose 2 of the next three, IMO. With the way we've been playing lately it is becoming harder to be optimistic.

Using KenPom, there's a 17.8% chance we win the next three and an 8.2% chance we lose the next three. (both assuming that Minnesota is our first round opponent in the BTT)
