I put a lot on the players. But Crean has gone a little far with trying to save guys, make them men. Too religious and forgiving.

We are talented but soft. Even the B1G title team was soft.

you can be religious and be tough lol. The thing that bothers me most and is most telling is his kids make the same mistakes time and time over. It leads me to believe he isnt correcting the right things in practice or not getting the point across to them. You are 100% right that for whatever the reason his teams have a toughness issue

Everyone who thinks Crean will be fired after this year need to accept it's not going to happen. We'll win our last 2 home games and finish 11-7 in conference, get into the tournament and win the first round matchup, and that will be enough to justify bringing him back next year. It is what it is.

I really am not sure about these next two games. We can win but we can darn sure lose. I have been waiting for this team to completely collapse this season based on some really tough losses and so far they have done just enough to stay afloat but this could be the beginning and the next two games are no cupcake

I don't have the numbers in front of me but I'm pretty sure football still brings in more revenue to IU than basketball. That BTN deal isn't as big as it is because of basketball.

Without a big run in the BTT or the NCAA you have to make the change this year. It will be harder to make a change if he gets a sweet sixteen next year even if it is clear we would have a rebuild the following year.

No way Crean gets a Sweet Sixteen next year. Unless something drastic happens size situation will be the same next year and we could possibly be without Yogi. Hard to see the glimmer of hope.
