IU vs. Purdue Postgame Thread

Recommended Posts

I don't know what else u need to see from coach. U give him one of the best teams in country and can't make the final four. I have nothing personal against him but at this point we know what we are getting out of him. Time to give another coach a shot at it. This is not because of this loss but from his overall performance. Tired of the excuses. This our team is young is an old one then coach them up they have played almost a full year they are no longer freshman

Kinda hard to believe your pickin on Hartman. I didnt think he'd see the floor this year after he blew out the knee and he has proven to be valuable. A small forward trying to play the post is ridiculous and thats on Crean.

Not hating but as the season has gone on he hasn't proved as valuable. He was for the first few games he played in the post but in the games since hasn't made such an impact. He gives it his all and I give him credit for that but if we had another big man, theres no way Hartman sees the floor. Him playing out of position on D is all on Crean. But him playing scared and not within his game on offense is all on him. JBJ and Troy not showing up mentally for a handful of games is also on them as well

What I want to know is how people let one game cloud their judgment; I know, I know, you have seven years. That's crap. This season has gone as expected. Not what anyone wants. At all.

Thats what is funny to me. Last year we were picked to be a bad team…we were. This year we were picked to finish towards the bottom of the big ten and we are at least at middle of the pack. What do people expect?

This being in a position to win the games on the last shot and not winning is making this winter a lot more colder and gray-er.
Two keys for me..... The 2nd foul on HMP was a BS call and Troy's turn over late in the game when we had a chance to take the lead was a game killer.
Bounce back HOOSIERS!

I now know what to expect from this coach and school administrators. A big fat zip. The school it's self has gone to **** since John Ryan retired and the liberals got control. Welcome to MEDIOCRITY!

One hopes and hopes but it's time to face facts. No more getting upset over piss poor loses. Just accept them as normal. No more missing FGCU home games to watch the HOOSIERS live on TV either! They get so much more from so much less. Put on my blue and green hat and be a fan.
I was one saying to lighten up about Crean at the beginning of the season. Still think we should because like it or not this is what you're gonna get. Don't be sour just be accepting. If we don't make the NCAA we get to play more in the NIT. Actually that's where we belong. I am grateful I remember the days when we were a respected powerhouse! Those were sweet times. Wouldn't it be something if we could hang a NIT Sweet Sixteen banner this year? Hell, our boys would get RINGS! Something they could be proud of for the rest of their lives!

Wait....you're blaming liberals?  Lol c'mon man

I expect the ninth highest paid coach in the country to never be picked to finish towards the bottom of the conference.

In year 7 no doubt. We're a bubble team and fans are ecstatic about it, saying "we were picked to finish 10th and instead we'll probably finishing 7th or 8th so be happy, great job coach"! I'm so frustrated at fans accepting mediocre basketball. I'm sorry but it's no longer an opinion it's a FACT: Tom Crean is a mediocre coach who will not bring IU to the elite level of basketball we all want IU basketball to be at. So it comes down to this. A) Do you want a coach who wins at an elite level (i.e. Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan State, etc.)? or B ) Do you want Tom Crean? A coach who wins at a mediocre status (i.e. Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, NC State, Marquette, Iowa, etc.) Pretty average bubble NCAA or NIT team most of the time, but we'll surprise ya and make it to the sweet16 or E8 every once in a while... Well I choose A! Indiana can be elite again! It was before it can be again. We have all the same pieces to offer just like the elite schools (i.e. the facilities, passionate fan base, tradition, etc.). We just need the right man Steering the ship! Tom Crean is not that man and if you haven't realized it by now I'm sorry.
