Livestock is meant to be loved on a platter. Today it seems that is more empathy and generosity shown to dumb animals than there is for human suffering.

this is idiotic. Why can't u show compassion to both? U still eat them. I've been to those pens, it's like torture for five months. Even Taiwanese prison camps allow u to turn around. Your generic and obtuse statements have no thought. You're just trying to reach the masses by sounding flashy.

I can give a head nod that people need to, in general, take care of their fellow man a little more and chill on the animal love. Basically, quit acting like all organizations that are helping families in 3rd world countries are a scam and then pour out compassion over Sarah McLoughlin commercials for animals. To each his own obviously. I just have family members who scoff at bums living on the street being deadbeats and feed and home 10 different rescue animals at the same time. I've lacked perspective before on topics though but I don't feel like I have the priority out of order here.

However, glad Max is trying to do something positive as a project.

There's substance to what u say. It does feel we are not helping our fellow man as much as we should. If that revolves around politics or being more selfish with our money , I have no clue.
I personally donate to drug rehabilitation programs and to the arts and education. I have not yet donated to animal causes as of yet. I just got a dog and that might just change.

But just because there is uncertainty with our helping our fellow man doesn't mean we should ignore something that's being obviously tortured.
I know it will cost farmers a bit more money to replace them but in turn we should also be asking our state and national governments to help our farmers a lot more to give them better resources to advance agricultural practices that will be better for us and animals alike.

I would have to do a lot more research on this matter to even consider signing a petition let alone having a opinion on this. I am almost always going to support the farmers though unless its I see it is totally inhumane to the animals

99% of pork in this country is raised this way. If you really want to make an impact do it with the pocket book. Don't buy pork in the store seek out small local farmers who raise hogs outdoors. Much more expensive but worth it.
