The next 6 games.

Recommended Posts

I think to get a 5 seed the Hoosiers need to win out these remaining regular 6 games.  That will take a helluva lot of energy both physical and mental cost to do that.

If so, will/would we have any reserve to give the BIG tournament and NCAA?  Needless to say, everyone has to be available and in top form.

Completely agree. IMO 3-3 could get things ugly again for Tom Crean and would just forward the idea that his teams falter down the stretch. With 4 of 6 at home, and those 2 road games against the bottom of the conference, no reason we shouldn't go at least 4-2.

I'd be pretty disappointed with 3-3.  4 of the final 6 at home, where we have been consistently on point this season.  I'd expect at least a split of the 2 road games.  I'm thinking 4-2 at worst and more than likely 5-1.

I'm a fan and I don't wanna! ;)

Agreed! Let's start talking 5-years from now! Won't effect the team  :D . But really, I think this is a 5-1 stretch. The schedule sets up wonderfully for us:

-MINN relies on pressure defense (which we're more than capable of demolishing) and favorable winds to help their shots fall.

-PU is the definition of a revenge game for us (I still maintain that tempo will give us a chance to demolish them; much easier at AH).

-RUT and NW deserve credit for, much like my dog, refusing to roll over. However, it would take a night where Yogi, Troy, AND JBJ just decide they don't feel like scoring for us to lose. I think Yogi is about to go full Terminator after that last game: He'll be back

-IOW and MSU are concerning because they are tough groups with strong coaching. That being said, they get to come to AH. I've already spoken with my friends in the Indiana National Guard about providing all IU players with Kevlars and Eye Pro to make sure we don't have a rehash of "A Christmas Story" thanks to Iowa's defense. MSU will be close as always, but I think the prospect of a high seed in both the B1G and NCAA will help some of our shots fall.

Still, we slip somewhere and go 5-1.

I understand everyones' reasoning behind their predictions for the next 6 games, but there is no reason we shouldn't go 6-0. The Hoosiers are better than every team left on our schedule, and the challenging games are at home. 5-1 is acceptable, but I really think this team needs to go 6-0 headed into the tournament. We really need to build off of that performance at Maryland, and get into a solid rhythm.
